Tektronix USB4 Compliance and Debug Solutions Interface
Screenshot of the TekExpress USB4 software interface.
The interface displays setup options including DUT ID, DUT Type (Device), Data Rates (Gen2, Gen3), Lane Selection (Both), CTS Version (1.0), Test Mode (Compliance), Test Method (SigTest), and SigTest Version (0.5). Options for acquiring live waveforms or using pre-recorded waveform files are available.
TekExpress USB4 Debug Solution Interface
Screenshot of the TekExpress USB4 debug solution results.
This interface shows an "Overall Result: Pass" with detailed measurements for USB4 UJ, USB4 UDJ, USB4 DDJ, USB4 LFUDJ, USB4 RJ, USB4 TJ@BER, USB4 DCD, USB4 DJ Dirac, and USB4 NPJ Dirac. It lists Pass/Fail status, Mean, Max, Min, and p-p values for each parameter, along with Bit Rate (19.945Gb/s) and Pattern Length (32767UI).
USB4 Transmitter TP2 and TP3 Connection Diagram
Diagram illustrating the connection setup for USB4 transmitter testing.
The diagram shows a DPO70K SX/DX Oscilloscope connected via a matched pair cable to a USB Type C connector, which interfaces with the DUT (Device Under Test). The setup includes a microcontroller and a HS TX Test Plug.
Tektronix USB4 Transmitter Connection Diagram
Detailed view of USB4 transmitter signal paths.
This diagram illustrates the differential signal paths for USB4 transmitters, showing TxO_N, TxO_P for Lane 0 and Tx1_N, Tx1_P for Lane 1, connecting to the DUT.
USB4 Gen3 (20 Gbps) TP2 Eye Diagram
Eye diagram for USB4 Gen3 (20 Gbps) at Test Point 2.
The diagram is a plot of voltage versus time, displaying multiple superimposed signal traces. It includes a mask (USB4_Gen3_TP2Tx_Eye.msk) to evaluate signal integrity. The plot shows signal characteristics like jitter and noise.
USB4 Gen3 (20 Gbps) TP3 Eye Diagram with Equalization (CTLE and DFE)
Eye diagram for USB4 Gen3 (20 Gbps) at Test Point 3, with equalization applied.
Similar to the TP2 eye diagram, this plot visualizes signal integrity for USB4 Gen3 at 20 Gbps, incorporating Channel Equalization (CTLE+DFE) to compensate for signal degradation.
USB4 Gen3 (20Gbps) TP2 TJ Bathtub
Bathtub curve for Total Jitter (TJ) at Test Point 2 for USB4 Gen3 (20 Gbps).
This plot shows the probability of a certain jitter value occurring against the Unit Interval (UI). The "Target" line indicates the desired performance level, illustrating the jitter distribution and compliance margin.
USB4 Gen3 (20Gbps) TP3 TJ Bathtub
Bathtub curve for Total Jitter (TJ) at Test Point 3 for USB4 Gen3 (20 Gbps).
This plot, similar to the TP2 bathtub curve, illustrates the Total Jitter distribution at Test Point 3 for USB4 Gen3 (20 Gbps) signals, indicating compliance with jitter specifications.
