4.6 Locking with Door Handle

Features: This smart lock has an anti-friction latch and a deadbolt throw (on the 679D model) for enhanced security.

Auto-Lock: The latch throw can auto-lock based on your preferred timing via the Lockly Manager app. For both 679L and 679D models, the latch throw will auto-lock after a specified time, or you can lift the handle to lock it. On the 679D model, the deadbolt engages when the handle is lifted upwards.

App Configuration: Follow app instructions for handle configuration to ensure correct detection of locked/unlocked status.

4.7 Safe Mode

Trigger: Entering 10 wrong access codes in a row within 10 minutes puts the Lockly Guard into Safe Mode.

Effect: The digital keypad flashes twice and shows a 30-minute countdown.

Turning off Safe Mode: Use one of these methods: Registered fingerprint, Registered RFID card, Lockly Manager app, Physical key, or unlock the door manually from the inside.

Alternative: Wait for the countdown to finish, then enter the correct password to unlock and turn off Safe Mode.

4.8 Rain Mode

Purpose: Protects the Lockly Guard from water activation and extends battery life by disabling the fingerprint sensor when rain or water is detected.

To Activate Rain Mode (via App):

  1. Open the Lockly Manager app (within Bluetooth range or connected via Wi-Fi hub).
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Select Rain Mode.
  4. Toggle the button to turn it ON.

How it Works: Rain Mode activates when the fingerprint sensor detects rain or water for 45 seconds. The fingerprint sensor stops working. You must unlock using the Lockly Manager app, keypad, or a physical key. The mode automatically turns off after 15 minutes but will reactivate if water/rain is still detected.

Notifications: If using the app, you'll receive notifications when Rain Mode is activated, which are also saved in your access history.

To Activate/Deactivate Rain Mode (via Keypad):

  • Activate: Enter access code, followed by 234 and the OK button. You'll hear a short beep, and the Bluetooth indicator will flash green.
  • Deactivate: Enter access code, followed by 890 and the OK button. You'll hear a long beep, and the Bluetooth indicator will flash green.

4.9 Welcome Mode

Welcome Mode: Temporarily disables auto-locking for a set period, allowing the door to remain open without needing codes, fingerprints, or the app.

To Enable: Open the Lockly Manager app, go to Settings, select "Enable Welcome Mode," and set your desired unlock duration.

? QUICK TIP: To ensure Welcome Mode functions correctly after battery replacement, reconnect the lock to the Lockly Manager app to synchronize the time.

DON'T: Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Do not soak the lock in water. Steer clear of sharp objects that could damage the surface.

8.2 Calibrating the Lock

If the Lockly Guard responds slowly due to lubrication issues, dust, or cold temperatures, calibrate it.

Procedure: Enter your access code, then 1234, and press the OK button. Calibration takes about 60 seconds, during which you'll hear the lock unlocking several times until it finishes.

Example: 135790+1234+

Via App: Open the Lockly Manager app, select your lock, go to Settings > Calibrate. Regular calibration ensures efficient lock operation.
