The Yealink W78P DECT IP phone consists of one W70B base station and one W78H handset.

Assembling the DECT Phone
1. Connect the base station power and the network
a. AC Power Option: Connect the Yealink supplied power adapter (5V/0.6A) to the base station.
b. PoE (Power over Ethernet) Option: Connect an Ethernet cable to a PoE-compliant hub/switch. A power adapter is not needed in this case.
2a. Desktop Installation: Attach and remove the base stand.
Attach the Base Stand: Align the snap-fits with the corresponding holes on the base station and push forward to secure.
Remove the Base Stand: Gently pull the snap-fits horizontally out of the holes.
2b. Wall-Mount Installation: Attach the base station.
The base station can be mounted on a wall using the provided mounting points and screws. Ensure the cables are routed appropriately.
3. Insert the battery into the handset.
Open the battery cover on the back of the handset, insert the rechargeable battery, and then secure the cover.
4. Attach the belt clip to the handset.
Align the belt clip with the designated slot on the back of the handset and press to attach.
5. Mount the charging cradle to the wall (Optional).
Use the charging cradle's mounting slots and appropriate screws (not included) to attach it to the wall at the desired height (e.g., 59 mm from the floor for optimal placement).
6. Connect the charging cradle and charge the handset.
Place the handset into the charging cradle and connect the power adapter to the cradle. Check the charging status on the top-right corner of the handset's LCD screen. Use only the Yealink-supplied power adapter (5V/0.6A).
Getting Started
Handset Registration
You can register up to 10 handsets to one W70B base station. Each handset can be registered to up to 4 different base stations.
When the handset LCD screen prompts "Unregistered!", long press the registration button on the base station until the registration LED indicator flashes.
Easy Registration:
- Press the Reg soft key on the handset to register quickly.
Normal Registration:
- Press the OK soft key on the handset.
- Select Register Handset.
- Select the desired base station and press OK. The handset will search for the base station.
- Enter the base station PIN (default: 0000) and press the Done soft key to complete registration.
To register to multiple base stations, navigate to Settings > Registration > Register Handset on the handset and repeat steps 2-4.
Note: Upon successful registration, the handset LCD will display "Handset Subscribed" and the base station's MAC address.
If the handset displays "Searching for Base", ensure the base station is powered on.
Hardware Component Instructions
The handset features the following components:
- 1. Receiver: For listening to audio.
- 2. Power LED Indicator: Shows the power status of the handset.
- 3. Phone Screen: Displays information and menus.
- 4. Soft Keys: Context-sensitive keys below the screen.
- 5. Message Key: Accesses voicemail.
- 6. Speakerphone Key: Toggles speakerphone on/off.
- 7. Navigation Keys: Used to navigate menus and options.
- 8. OK Key: Confirms selections.
- 9. On-hook Key/Power Key: Ends calls or powers the device on/off.
- 10. Off-hook Key: Initiates or answers calls.
- 11. Keypad: For dialing numbers and entering text.
- 12. TRAN Key: Used for call transfer.
- 13. Mute Key: Mutes or unmutes the microphone.
- 14. Microphone: For voice input.

FCC Part 68 Warning
- This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and ACTA requirements. The product identifier (US: AAAEQ##TXXXX) must be provided to the telephone company if requested.
- The plug and jack used must comply with applicable FCC Part 68 rules. A compliant telephone cord and modular plug are provided.
- If this equipment ([US: T2LIPNANW78HV1]) causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company will notify you in advance of temporary service discontinuance. You have the right to file a complaint with the FCC if necessary.
- The telephone company may make changes to its facilities or procedures that could affect equipment operation. Advance notice will be provided for necessary modifications.

- Connection to party line service is subject to state tariffs. Contact the state public utility commission for information.
- Ensure this equipment does not disable alarm equipment connected to the telephone line. Consult the telephone company or a qualified installer if unsure.
- When requested by the telephone company, provide the following information: a) REN [NAN], b) USOC jack required [N/A], c) Facility Interface Codes ("FIC") [N/A], d) Service Order Codes ("SOC") [N/A], e) FCC Registration Number [US: T2LIPNANW78HV1].
- The REN determines the number of devices connectable to a telephone line. The sum of RENs should not exceed 5.0 in most areas. Contact the local telephone company for details. The REN for this product is indicated in the FCC Registration Number [US: T2LIPNANW78HV1] as E2 (NAN).
- It is suggested to use a surge arrestor to protect the device.
FCC CAUTION
