Note: It is recommended to use accessories provided or approved by Yealink. Using unapproved third-party accessories may reduce performance.
Assembling the DECT Phone
1. Connect the base station power and the network
a. AC Power Option
Description: The base station is connected to a power adapter, which is then plugged into a wall outlet. An Ethernet cable connects the base station to a network device (router/switch).
b. PoE (Power over Ethernet) Option
Description: The base station is connected directly to an IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE Hub/Switch via an Ethernet cable. This method does not require a separate power adapter.
Note: If using method 'a', use the Yealink supplied power adapter (5V/0.6A). A third-party adapter may damage the base station. If using method 'b', ensure the hub/switch is PoE-compliant.
2a. (Desktop Installation) Attach and remove the base stand
Attach the Base Stand
Description: Align the snap-fits on the base stand with the corresponding holes on the base station and push forward until they click into place.
Remove the Base Stand
Description: Remove the snap-fits from the holes horizontally.
2b. (Wall-Mount Installation) Attach the base station
Description: The base station is mounted to a wall using screws. The diagram indicates a 59mm spacing for mounting holes.
3. Insert the battery into the handset
Description: The battery is inserted into the back compartment of the handset, with the cover then being closed.
4. Attach the belt clip to the handset
Description: The belt clip is attached to the back of the handset.
5. (Optional) Mount the charging cradle to the wall
Description: The charging cradle can be mounted to a wall using screws. The diagram indicates 38mm spacing for mounting holes.
6. Connect the charging cradle and charge the handset
Description: The handset is placed into the charging cradle, which is then connected to a power adapter and a wall outlet.
Note: Use the Yealink-supplied power adapter (5V/0.6A). A third-party adapter may damage the handset. Check the charging status on the top-right corner of the LCD screen.
Getting Started
Handset Registration
You can register up to 8 handsets to one W70B base station. Each handset can be registered to 4 different base stations.
When the handset LCD screen prompts "Unregistered!", long press the registration button [registration-button-icon] on the base station until the registration LED indicator flashes.
Easy Registration:
- Press the 'Reg' soft key on the handset to register quickly.
Normal Registration:
- Press the 'OK' soft key on the handset, and then select 'Register Handset'.
- Select the desired base station and then press the 'OK' soft key. The handset begins searching the base station.
- Press the 'OK' soft key after successfully searching for a base station.
- Enter the base station PIN (default: 0000), and then press the 'Done' soft key to complete the registration.
To register to multiple base stations, press 'OK' to enter the main menu, and select 'Settings' -> 'Registration' -> 'Register Handset', then repeat steps 2-4.
Note: If the handset is registered successfully, the LCD screen prompts "Handset Subscribed" and "Base NO." (the last 4 characters indicate the base station's MAC address). If the handset LCD screen prompts "Searching for Base", check that your base station is powered on.

- 6. Speakerphone Key: Activates/deactivates speakerphone mode.
- 7. Navigation Keys: Used for navigating menus and options.
- 8. OK Key: Confirms selections.
- 9. On-hook Key/Power Key: Ends calls or powers the device on/off.
- 10. Off-hook Key: Initiates or answers calls.
- 11. Keypad: Numeric keypad for dialing.
- 12. TRAN Key: Used for transferring calls.
- 13. Mute Key: Mutes/unmutes the microphone.
- 14. Microphone: Captures audio input.

Safety Instructions
General Requirements: Read safety instructions before use. Keep the device dry, clean, and avoid collision. Do not dismantle the device; contact an appointed maintenance center for repair. Refer to relevant laws and statutes and respect the legal rights of others.
Environmental Requirements: Place in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, dust, inflammable objects, or heat sources/bare fire.
Operating Requirements: Do not let children operate without guidance or play with the device/accessories. Use only provided or authorized accessories. Ensure the power supply meets input voltage requirements and use a surge protection socket. Keep hands dry when plugging/unplugging cables. Avoid using near water. Disconnect during thunderstorms. Disconnect from power if left unused for a long time. If smoke, abnormal noise, or smell occurs, disconnect power immediately and contact a maintenance center. Do not insert foreign objects into slots. Connect the grounding cable first.
Battery Requirements: Do not immerse the battery in water, expose to open flame, or extreme heat. Power off the handset before removing the battery. Do not use the battery for other devices. Do not open or mutilate the battery. Use only Yealink-provided or recommended rechargeable battery packs. Dispose of defective batteries properly.
Cleaning Requirements: Disconnect from power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry, anti-static cloth. Keep the power plug clean and dry.
Troubleshooting
- Unit cannot supply power: Check plug connection, try another outlet.
- Usage environment out of range: Use within the operating temperature range.
- Cable connection incorrect: Connect the cable correctly.
- Cannot connect cable properly: Ensure correct Yealink device and power supply are used. Clean the port if dusty.

The REN (Ringer Equivalence Number) determines the number of devices allowed on a telephone line. Excessive RENs can prevent devices from ringing. The sum of RENs should not exceed five in most areas. Contact the local telephone company for specifics.
