Contents

The Hot Wheels Colossal Crash Track Set includes a variety of plastic track pieces, a motorized booster unit, and two vehicles. The track pieces are identified by letters (e.g., A through HH) for assembly reference. Key components include the main booster mechanism, various straight and curved track sections, loops, jump ramps, and connection elements.

Battery Installation

To power the motorized booster, follow these steps for battery installation:

  • Locate the battery compartment on the booster unit.
  • Unscrew the battery cover using a Phillips head screwdriver (not provided).
  • Insert 6 new D size (LR20) 1.5V alkaline batteries into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity.
  • Replace the battery cover and secure it by tightening the screws.
  • Batteries should be replaced when the booster unit can no longer propel vehicles effectively through the track.
  • Dispose of used batteries safely and responsibly.
  • For optimal performance and longevity, use alkaline batteries.
  • Important Note: If the product experiences a malfunction, potentially due to electrostatic discharge, remove and then reinsert the batteries to restore normal operation.
  • Ensure the toy is connected to only the recommended number of power supplies.

Crucial Reminder: The booster should not be switched on until the entire track set is completely assembled.

Assembly Zones

The Colossal Crash track set is designed to be built in three distinct zones before final assembly. Detailed instructions for each zone are provided on specific pages:

  • Zone 1: Refer to pages 6-7 for assembly instructions.
  • Zone 2: Refer to pages 8-9 for assembly instructions.
  • Zone 3: Refer to pages 10-11 for assembly instructions.

Zone 1 Assembly

This zone requires specific parts, including track pieces labeled J, K, O, P, S, T, and the main booster unit. The assembly involves connecting these pieces together, often with audible clicks, to form a section of the track. Specific steps guide the attachment of track segments to the booster base and the creation of elevated track sections.

Key actions include connecting specific track pieces (e.g., J to K, O to P, S to T) and securing components to the booster unit, often requiring four secure clicks for certain connections.

Zone 2 Assembly

For Zone 2, you will need track pieces labeled E, F, Z, BB, CC, GG, and HH. Assembly involves connecting these parts to create loops and elevated track sections. This includes connecting pieces like E to F, Z to BB, and CC to BB, and integrating them with the booster components for this zone.

The process involves attaching track segments and booster components as shown in the diagrams, ensuring all connections are firm.

Zone 3 Assembly

Zone 3 assembly requires parts labeled AA, DD, W, X, and Y. This section focuses on building the remaining track segments, including connecting pieces like AA to DD and W to X, and integrating them with the base unit that includes piece Y.

Follow the visual guides to connect the track pieces and booster components securely.

Final Assembly

Once all three zones are independently assembled, they must be connected to form the complete Hot Wheels Colossal Crash track. This final stage involves linking the zones using specific connecting pieces, such as L, M, Q, R, U, V, and D, as illustrated in the diagrams. The completed track forms an impressive figure-eight layout with multiple loops and a central "Crash Zone" designed for exciting vehicle interactions.

To Play

Get ready for action with your assembled Colossal Crash track set:

  1. Step 1: Activate the motorized booster by switching it ON. Load your Hot Wheels cars onto the designated starting ramps. Prepare for thrilling, high-speed crashes!
  2. Step 2: Customize your race by adjusting the jump ramps. You can set them for a straight race or for exciting stunt jumps.
  3. Car Release Mechanism: The booster features a mechanism to release cars. Push forward on the designated point to release a single car. Pull back on the mechanism to release multiple cars simultaneously.
  4. Compatibility: Please note that not all Hot Wheels vehicles are compatible with this track set. The set includes two vehicles; additional vehicles are sold separately. You can also connect other Hot Wheels tracks and sets to either side of the Colossal Crash set to expand your play experience.

Troubleshooting Tip: If the booster unexpectedly stops functioning, try resetting it by turning the power OFF and then ON again.
