Installation Guide
Step 1: Power Safety
Before starting, turn off the main power supply at the circuit breaker. The diagram shows a finger switching a circuit breaker to the "OFF" position.
Step 2: Mounting the Base
Detach the mounting bracket from the main fixture. Use the bracket as a template to mark the drilling points on the ceiling or wall. Drill the holes and insert wall plugs if required. Securely attach the mounting bracket to the surface using screws.
Step 3: Wiring Connections
Connect the mains supply wires to the corresponding terminals within the junction box. Ensure correct polarity for live, neutral, and earth wires. Diagrams labeled "3a" and "3b" illustrate different wiring configurations, each accompanied by "OK" and "Not OK" indicators to guide correct connection.
Step 4: Securing the Wiring
Ensure all wire connections are secure within the junction box. The diagram shows a wire connector block being fastened.
Step 5: Attaching the Light Fixture Base
Mount the junction box onto the prepared mounting bracket. Align the base of the light fixture with the bracket and secure it by screwing it into place.
Step 6: Final Assembly and Power On
Attach the main body of the light fixture to the base by screwing it on. Once the fixture is securely mounted, turn the main power supply back ON at the circuit breaker. Install the specified [GU10] LED bulb (maximum 20W). The Hue serial number is typically located on the fixture itself.
