Initial Setup
Automatic Earbud Connection
To turn on the earbuds, press and hold both touch sensors for 3+ seconds. The blue/white light will flash on the left and right earbuds, indicating they are ready to pair with your device.
Left Earbud: Press and hold for 3+ seconds [Power On]
Right Earbud: Press and hold for 3+ seconds [Power On]
Connecting via Bluetooth
On your device's settings, select 'JLab JBuds Air Icon'. You will hear two beeps [Bluetooth Connected] and the white lights will remain solid, indicating the connection is established.

Adding New / Additional Bluetooth Devices
Turn OFF Bluetooth on your previously connected device. Turn ON Bluetooth on your new device. The earbuds will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Select 'JLab JBuds Air Icon' in your device's settings.
Button Functions
Left Earbud
- Volume Down: Single tap [Volume Down]
- Activate Siri (iOS) or 'OK Google' (Android): Double tap [Voice Assistant]
- Answer Call: Single tap [Call Answer/End]
- End Call: Double tap [Call Answer/End]
- Reject Call: Press and hold for 1+ second [Call Reject]
- Previous Track: Press and hold for 1+ second [Previous Track]
- Change EQ: Triple tap [EQ Change]
Right Earbud
- Volume Up: Single tap [Volume Up]
- Answer Call: Single tap [Call Answer/End]
- End Call: Double tap [Call Answer/End]
- Reject Call: Press and hold for 1+ second [Call Reject]
- Play/Pause: Double tap [Play/Pause]
- Next Track: Press and hold for 1+ second [Next Track]
- Change EQ: Triple tap [EQ Change]
Audio Cues
- Power On = Beep [Tone]
- Bluetooth Connected = 2 Beeps [Tone]
- Low Battery = 'Low Battery' announcement (below 20%)
- Power Off = Beep [Tone]
Custom EQ³ Sound Modes
To cycle through the equalizer settings, tap three times on either the right or left earbud. You will hear audio cues for the selected EQ setting. (JBuds Air Icon cycles through 3 EQ settings.)

Charging the Earbuds
For correct charging, place the earbuds into the left (L) and right (R) charging slots in the case. The earbuds will automatically turn OFF and begin charging. Blue lights indicate charging is in progress, and they will turn off when the battery is full.

Charging Case
Connect the JBuds Air Icon charging case to a computer or a USB 5V 1A (or less) power source.

During charging, the LED lights will be white and flashing, and will remain solid white when charging is complete. When the charging case is opened, the earbuds will automatically turn ON and connect to your device.
Fitment
For a proper and secure fit in your ear canal, try the optional Cush Fins and different ear tips.

The Cush Fin should be positioned so it does not cover the microphone port.
Troubleshooting
No Sound in One Earbud (Manual Reset)
- Open your Bluetooth device settings and select 'Forget JLab JBuds Air Icon'.
- Open the charging case and leave the earbuds inside.
- Quickly tap the touch sensor on both earbuds 3 times. The earbuds will flash blue and then turn off. Once both earbuds are off, close the charging case. [Diagram: Tapping touch sensor on earbuds, text "Both quickly 3 times"]
- Wait 10 seconds, then open the charging case. Wait for the blue/white light to flash on both the left and right earbuds. The earbuds are now ready to pair with your Bluetooth device.
Can't Connect / Reconnect Bluetooth Device
- Open your Bluetooth device settings and select 'Forget JLab JBuds Air Icon'.
- Turn Bluetooth OFF and then ON again.
- Open the charging case and wait for the blue/white light to flash on both the left and right earbuds.
- Select 'JLab JBuds Air Icon' in your device's settings.

Echo During Calls
If you experience microphone echo or poor call quality while using the JBuds Air earbuds, check that the Cush Fin is not blocking the microphone port.

Quick Tips
- To prevent damage to the charging case, dry the earbuds thoroughly before placing them inside. The earbuds are sweat and water-resistant, but the charging case is not.
- If you wish to use only one earbud, you can connect either one. Simply remove the desired earbud from the charging case, and it will connect automatically.
- For optimal sound quality, it's important to select the correct ear tip to ensure a snug fit in your ear. Try all ear tips to find the best fit.
Warning
To prevent damage to the charging case, dry the earbuds thoroughly before placing them inside. The earbuds are sweat and water-resistant, but the charging case is not.
Precautions
- Avoid excessive heat, cold, and moisture.
- Avoid dropping or crushing the earbuds.
- Earwax may accumulate in the ear tips, which can degrade sound quality. To improve sound quality, carefully remove earwax with a cotton swab or other small tool.
- If you experience discomfort or pain, reduce the volume or temporarily discontinue use of the earbuds.
- If you experience persistent discomfort while using the product, discontinue use and consult a physician.
- We recommend handling your earbuds with the same care as good sunglasses and storing them in a safe place between uses.
