First Time Use

Wait at least two hours after installation before connecting the appliance to the power supply. Connect the appliance to the power supply; it starts operation automatically. The ideal storage temperatures for food are preset at the factory.

After turning the appliance on, you must wait for 4-6 hours for the correct storage temperature to be reached for a normally filled appliance. Position the antibacterial anti-odour filter in the fan as demonstrated in the filter packaging (if available). If an audible signal sounds, it means that the temperature alarm has intervened: press the [Sound alarm button] to switch off the acoustic alarms.

3. Key Lock

How to Store Fresh Food and Beverages

Refrigerator Compartment

"0° Zone" Compartment

The "0° ZONE" compartment is specifically designed to maintain a low temperature and the correct humidity to preserve fresh food for longer (for example, meat, fish, fruits, and winter vegetables). Humidity control technology coupled with Active0 provides the best food preservation when food is not completely packed.

Turning On and Turning Off the Compartment

The internal temperature of the compartment is approximately 0°C when the compartment is turned on. To turn on the compartment, press the [Compartment button] (1) for more than one second until the symbol (2) lights up. The lit symbol (2) means that the compartment is working. Press the [Compartment button] (1) again for more than one second to turn off the compartment. The temperature inside depends on the general temperature of the refrigerator.

Conditions for Correct Functioning

For the correct functioning of the "0° ZONE" compartment, it is necessary that:

  • The appliance is turned on.
  • The fridge temperature is between 2°C and 6°C.
  • The "0° ZONE" compartment is turned on.
  • Vacation Mode and Stand-by are not selected.

Notes:

  • If the symbol does not light up when you turn on the compartment, check that the drawer is properly inserted. If the problem persists, contact the authorised Technical Assistance Service.
  • When the "0° ZONE" compartment is inserted in the appliance, you may hear a faint noise, which should be considered normal.

Important: Be careful when positioning small food items and containers on the upper shelf of the "0° ZONE" compartment to prevent them from accidentally falling between the shelf and the back wall of the refrigerator compartment.

Removing the "0° Zone" Compartment

Carry out the following steps:

  1. To make it easier to remove the compartment, it is recommended that you empty (and possibly remove) the lower door shelves.
  2. Remove the compartment by rotating it upwards.
  3. Remove the white plastic shelf under the compartment.

Note: it is not possible to remove the upper shelf and side supports.

To use the "0° ZONE" compartment again, carefully reposition the white plastic shelf under the compartment before inserting the drawer and turning the function back on.

Recommendation for Space and Energy Saving

To have a larger refrigerator volume and to reduce energy consumption, it is recommended to remove the "0° ZONE" compartment.

Cleaning

Clean the compartment and its components occasionally using a cloth and a solution of warm water (taking care not to submerge the white plastic shelf under the drawer) and neutral cleaning agents specifically for cleaning the inside of the refrigerator. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. Before cleaning the compartment (also externally), it is necessary to remove the drawer to disconnect the electrical supply.

Fan

The fan is pre-set to ON. You can turn the fan on/off by pressing the [Fan button] and [Another button] at the same time for 3 seconds. The lit [Fan icon] indicates that the fan is on and therefore the ProFresh function is active.

If the ambient temperature exceeds 27°C, or if drops of water are present on the glass shelves, it is essential that the fan is on to ensure the proper preservation of food. Deactivation of the fan allows energy consumption to be optimised.

Note: the fan restarts automatically after a power cut or after turning off the appliance.

Freezer Compartment

Freezing Fresh Food

  1. It is advisable to set the temperature colder or turn on the Fast Freeze/Fast Cool* at least four hours before removing food from the freezer compartment, to prolong food preservation during the defrosting phase.
  2. To defrost, unplug the appliance and remove the drawers. Leave the door open to allow frost to melt. To prevent water from escaping during defrosting, it is advised that you place an absorbent cloth on the bottom of the freezer compartment and wring it out regularly.
  3. Clean the inside of the freezer compartment and dry it carefully.
  4. Turn the appliance back on and put the food back inside. To remove frost on the STOP FROST* accessory, follow the CLEANING instructions.

Ice Cubes

Fill 2/3 of the ice tray with water and put it back in the freezer compartment. Do not, under any circumstances, use sharp or pointed objects to remove the ice.

The quantity of fresh food that can be frozen in a specific time period is indicated on the rating plate. Load limits are determined by baskets, flaps, drawers, shelves, etc. Make sure that these components can still close easily after loading.

General Information

The drawers, baskets, and shelves should be kept in their current position unless otherwise specified in this quick guide. The light system inside the refrigerator compartment uses LED lights, allowing for better lighting than traditional light bulbs, as well as very low energy consumption.

Doors and lids of the refrigeration appliance should be removed before disposal in a landfill to avoid children or animals getting trapped inside.
