Fridge Compartment Storage

Use recyclable plastic, metal, aluminum, and glass containers, or cling film to wrap foods. Always use closed containers for liquids and for food that may give off or be tainted by odor or flavor transfer, or cover them. For small quantities of food, use shelves above the crisper, as this is the coolest area. Separate foods that produce or are sensitive to ethylene gas (e.g., fruit, vegetables, salad) by wrapping them or storing them separately to avoid reducing storage life. For example, do not store tomatoes with kiwi fruits or cabbage. Bottle holders are available on selected models to prevent bottles from falling. Ensure adequate air circulation by not storing food too close together.

Freezer Compartment Storage

The freezer is ideal for storing frozen food, making ice cubes, and freezing fresh food. The maximum quantity of fresh food that can be frozen within a 24-hour period is indicated on the rating plate. For small quantities of food, use the coldest areas, typically the middle area of the freezer compartment.
