iRobot Roomba s9+ Battery Replacement

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for replacing the battery in your iRobot Roomba s9+ robot vacuum.

Step 1: Prepare for Battery Removal

Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, loosen the four screws located in the bottom cover of the vacuum. These screws are designed to be loosened but not fully removed.

Step 2: Access the Battery Module

Carefully lift up the bottom cover to reveal the internal battery module.

Step 3: Remove Securing Screw

Locate and remove the 11mm Phillips #2 screw situated next to the battery module.

Step 4: Release and Remove the Battery

Pull the designated pull tabs to release the battery from its housing. If the battery is difficult to release, verify that the screw next to the battery has been properly loosened or removed.

Step 5: Install New Battery and Reassemble

Align the new battery within the battery well and carefully place it into the robot.
Tighten the battery screw that was removed in Step 3.
Reinstall the bottom cover. Ensure all six (6) screws are tightened, and the bottom cover sits flush with all sensors on the robot.
