Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical products, especially with children present, always follow basic safety precautions.
DANGER: To reduce the risk of electrocution:
- ALWAYS turn off and unplug immediately after use.
- DO NOT use while bathing.
- DO NOT place or store where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. Place on a firm, flat, waterproof, heat-resistant, stable surface. Keep cord away from traffic areas.
- DO NOT place in or drop into water or other liquid.
- DO NOT reach for a product that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire, or injury:
- Never leave unattended when plugged in.
- Close supervision is necessary when used by, on, or near invalids. Keep out of reach of children.
- Use only for its intended purpose as described in this manual. DO NOT use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
- NEVER operate with a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if dropped or damaged.
- Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
- CAUTION: NEVER move the appliance while in use, as spilling hot water can cause injury or burns.
- DO NOT use while sleepy or drowsy.
- DO NOT use where aerosol products are used or oxygen is administered.
- NEVER block air openings and vents. Do not place on soft surfaces like beds or couches where vents can be blocked. Keep openings free of lint, hair, etc.
- NEVER drop or insert any object into any opening or vent.
- Unplug before filling. Fill reservoir with water only. DO NOT overfill. DO NOT fill with mask installed.
- The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other) for safety. It fits only one way in a polarized outlet. If it does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT defeat this feature.
- CAUTION: Plug directly into a 120V AC electrical outlet. DO NOT use an extension cord or power strip.
- Always unplug and empty when not in operation or cleaning. Shut off and unplug before moving. Plug and unplug with dry hands. NEVER pull by the cord.
- CAUTION: DO NOT move, lift, shake, tilt, or disassemble while in operation or if it contains hot water.
- DO NOT operate without water.
- DO NOT lift by the Mask; lift only by the Base.
- Appliance requires regular cleaning. Refer to cleaning instructions.
- NEVER add essential oils, medications, or inhalant liquids to the Water Reservoir.
- DO NOT touch skin with exposed Vicks VapoPads or place on furniture, fabrics, bedding, or plastics.
- DO NOT operate outdoors; intended for indoor use only.
- DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions; this will void your warranty.

Vicks VapoPads are designed to work with your Steam Inhaler to provide soothing vapors. The inhaler accepts up to two VapoPads, offering up to 8 hours of soothing comfort per pad. (One Menthol VapoPad sample included, VSP-19 Series).

Vicks Sinus Inhaler Components
The Vicks Steam Inhaler provides a steady flow of warm, moist air directly to the nose and throat for temporary relief from nasal, sinus, and chest congestion, coughs, and parched throat.

Using Your Personal Steam Inhaler
- Fully unravel the power cord to prevent overheating and fire hazards. DO NOT use with extension cords or power strips. Place the inhaler on a flat, stable surface.
- Unlock the Top Housing by twisting it counter-clockwise. Align the arrow on the Top Housing with the unlock symbol on the Base. Lift the Top Housing straight up.
- Fill the Water Reservoir with up to 2.5 tablespoons (40 mL) of cool tap water. DO NOT fill above the Heating Element. Use water only. DO NOT add essential oils, medications, or inhalant liquids.
- Place the Top Housing onto the Base and twist clockwise to lock. You will feel a click, and the arrow on the Top Housing will align with the lock symbol on the Base.
- Place the Mask on the Top Housing and gently push down to ensure it is secure.
- Connect the cord to an electrical outlet. DO NOT use extension cords or power strips. Press the On/Off Switch to the ON position; the Indicator Light will illuminate.
- The Steam Inhaler will take approximately 6 minutes to begin producing steam. Be cautious, as the Water Reservoir and water will become hot.
- Place your face over the Mask (do not rest your face on the mask). Breathe normally through your nose and mouth, inhaling steam into your nasal and throat passages. Continue treatment for five to fifteen minutes.
Adjusting Steam Intensity:
- For More Steam: Move the Steam Disk Control clockwise.
- For Less Steam: Move the Steam Disk Control counter-clockwise. If treatment becomes too intense, stop immediately.
When treatment is complete, move the Power Switch to the OFF position. The Indicator Light will go out. Disconnect the plug from the electrical outlet. Allow the appliance to cool for at least 20 minutes before moving or refilling (see Care and Cleaning section). DO NOT operate when empty.
NOTE: The Steam Inhaler will automatically shut off when water runs out. If this happens, turn the Power Switch to OFF and unplug the unit.
Using Vicks VapoPads
Your Vicks Steam Inhaler can be used with Vicks VapoPads for up to 8 hours of soothing vapors. A free menthol VapoPad sample is included.
To use with scent pads, ensure the unit is OFF and follow these instructions:
- Gently slide out the VapoPad Tray from the back of the Top Housing. Do not attempt to detach the tray.
- Open the VapoPad sachet by tearing the notch. Do not touch the pad with hands. If touched, avoid rubbing face or eyes.
- Insert the Vicks VapoPad with the angled end at the front of the tray. Up to two pads can be inserted. Push the VapoPad Tray back in to close.
- Discard the VapoPad when it is dry and no longer providing scent.
NOTE: DO NOT operate if the VapoPad Tray is missing or not secured.
This Steam Inhaler (with or without VapoPads) is not recommended for use by children.
VapoPads Precautions:
- Not recommended for infants under 10 lbs (4.5 kg).
- For children between 10-22 lbs (4.5-10 kg), do not use more than 2 pads in a 24-hour period.
- Scent Pad Ingredients: VSP-19 Series: Eucalyptus Oil, Menthol, Glycol, Cedar Leaf Oil & Others.
Care and Cleaning
CAUTION: ALWAYS disconnect the plug and let the unit cool for at least 20 minutes before cleaning.
After Each Use
- Remove Mask and Top Housing; wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
- If water remains in the Water Reservoir, empty it and wipe the Reservoir and Base with a dry cloth or paper towel. NEVER immerse the Base in water or any other liquid.
- Replace Top Housing and Mask; store in a cool, dry place.
Weekly Maintenance
- Remove Mask and Top Housing.
- Pour 2.5 tablespoons (40mL) of undiluted distilled white vinegar into the Water Reservoir and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Empty the vinegar and rinse the Water Reservoir with fresh tap water. Avoid getting water into electrical areas.
- Dry the Water Reservoir and Base with a clean cloth or paper towel.
- Wash the Mask with mild soap and warm water, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
- Replace Top Housing and Mask; store in a cool, dry place.
- To clean the VapoPad Tray, moisten a cotton swab tip and wipe the slots.
NOTE: The Top Housing is dishwasher safe (top rack only) or can be hand-washed. DO NOT place in the bottom rack of the dishwasher. DO NOT attempt to disassemble the Top Housing. The Heating Cup should NEVER be put in the dishwasher.
After Long Periods of Non-Use
If the inhaler has not been used for two weeks or longer, follow the Weekly Maintenance Instructions before the next use.

This 1-year limited warranty covers repair or replacement of products found to be defective in material or workmanship. It does not cover damage from commercial, abusive, or unreasonable use, or associated damages. Normal wear and tear are not considered manufacturing defects. KAZ IS NOT LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. Some jurisdictions may not allow limitations on implied warranties, so these exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty grants specific legal rights, and you may have others that vary by jurisdiction. It applies only to the original purchaser from the original date of purchase.
Kaz may, at its option, repair or replace the product if found defective. This warranty does not cover damage from unauthorized repair attempts or use not in accordance with the manual. It also does not cover filters, pre-filters, UV bulbs, or other accessories, except for material or workmanship defects.
