Setup
- Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the Talk GO microphone and the USB-A end to your PC or Mac.
- Check your PC or Mac settings to ensure the connection is recognized.
Setting Up the TALK GO on PC/Mac
Windows Setup
For Windows (Windows 7, 8, 10):
- From the Start menu, select [Control Panel].
- In the Control Panel, select the [Sound] icon.
- On the [Recording] tab, select JLab Talk GO.
- On the [Playback] tab, select JLab Talk GO.
macOS Setup
For macOS (version 10.10 or higher):
- Open [System Preferences] and select the [Sound] icon.
- On the [Input] tab, select JLab Talk GO.
- On the [Output] tab, select JLab Talk GO.
- On this screen, select your desired output volume.

Polar Pattern Selector
Use the switch to select your desired polar pattern:
- Cardioid (CARDIOID): Picks up sound from the front. [Cardioid]
- Omni (OMNI): Picks up sound from all around. [Omni]
Other Controls
- Volume Control [Volume]
- Mute On/Off: Short press [Mute]
- Polar Pattern Switch: Long press
Usage
Microphone Placement
- Correct Placement: Microphone positioned directly in front of the user's mouth.
- Incorrect Placement: Microphone positioned to the side or too far from the user.
Compatibility Note:
- The Talk GO works with almost all recording software for macOS, Windows, or Linux. Check your software settings and adjust as needed.
- No additional software or drivers are needed for the Talk GO. Simply plug it in and configure your device settings.
- The Talk GO requires a USB port on a computer or compatible device with an operating system; it cannot function solely with a power bank or battery pack.
