User's Manual of itel Mobile Phone
1. Basic Information
1.1. Brief Introduction
Thank you for selecting the itel color screen GSM digital mobile phone. This manual will guide you through its functions and operation.
The itel color screen mobile phone operates on the GSM/GPRS network and supports Two Card Two Standby. It offers various practical functions including a name card holder, scene mode, messaging, audio and video playback, camera, alarm clock, calculator, STK, time and date settings, and auto power-on/shut-down. The phone features a personalized human-computer interface designed to meet your diverse needs.
The itel color screen mobile phone complies with GSM standards and has obtained competent authority certification. The company reserves the right to revise the manual's content without prior notice.
2. Before Use
2.1. Install SIM Card and Memory Card
2.1.1. SIM Card
Before using the phone, insert a valid SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card, provided by your network supplier. The SIM card stores network connection information, names, telephone numbers, and SMS. You can use the SIM card in any GSM mobile phone.
To prevent data loss or damage, avoid touching the metal contact surface of the SIM card and keep it away from electricity and magnetic fields. Damaged SIM cards will prevent normal phone use.
Prompt: Power off the phone before removing the SIM card. Never insert or remove the SIM card with external power connected, as this may damage the SIM card and the phone.
2.1.2. Inserting and Taking out SIM Card
The metal contact surface of the SIM card is easily scratched. Handle with care.
- Power off the phone and remove the rear cover and battery.
- Insert the SIM card according to the screen printing on the phone.
- To remove the SIM card, pull it straight out.
Prompt: Inserting two SIM cards is the default setting. If only one SIM card is inserted, some menu options may not be available.
2.1.3. Memory Card
Gently push the T-card into the T-card slot until it is correctly inserted.
Prompt: If the memory card fails, ensure it is correctly placed and making good contact.
2.2. Battery
2.2.1. Install the Battery
- Remove the rear cover of the mobile phone.
- Align one end of the battery with the metal surface to the battery connector.
- Gently press the battery down with your finger, then press the other end to install it.
Prompt: Operate correctly to avoid damaging the battery connector.
2.2.2. Charging
Insert the charger into the phone's charging interface. The battery strength icon will scroll during charging. Charging is complete when the icon is full and stops scrolling. Remove the plug once charging is complete.
The phone will display a warning message when the battery is low and will power off automatically when the battery is empty. Avoid leaving the battery in a low-charge state for extended periods, as this can affect its quality and lifespan. Do not overcharge the battery.
Prompt: Use only the designated charger for normal phone operation.
2.2.3. Battery Safety
- Do not expose the battery to fire. Dispose of used batteries according to local laws and ordinances.
- Check the charger's model number before use.
- Use only approved batteries, chargers, and accessories compatible with your specific mobile model. Using unauthorized items may void the warranty and pose risks.
- Return waste and used batteries to the supplier or a designated recovery site.
CAUTION! Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries as instructed.
2.3. Security Password
PIN
The PIN (Personal Identification Number) prevents unauthorized use of your SIM card. It is usually provided with the SIM card. If you enter the wrong PIN three consecutive times, you will need to use PUK to unlock it. Contact your network operator for details.
PIN 2
PIN2 is required for certain functions, such as call charges. Entering the wrong PIN2 three times requires PUK2 for unlocking. Contact your network operator for details.
PUK
When changing the locked PIN, you need to enter PUK (Personal Unlock Key), which is provided with the SIM card. If not provided, contact your service provider. Entering the wrong PUK ten times will render the SIM card unusable. Contact your service provider to purchase a new card. PUK cannot be changed. If lost, contact your service provider.
PUK2
When changing the locked PIN2, you need to enter PUK2. Entering the wrong PUK2 ten times will disable functions requiring PIN2. Contact your service provider for a new card. PUK2 cannot be changed. If lost, contact your service provider.
3. Quick User Guide
3.1. Dial a Call
In standby mode, press the numerical keys to input the phone number and press the dial key to make a call. For long-distance calls, include the area code. Press the left soft key to access Options.
3.2. Reject a Call
Press the End key to reject an incoming call.
3.3. Receive a Call
When a call arrives, the phone will prompt you (e.g., with vibration or ringtone). If supported by the network, the caller's name and number will be displayed. Press the Dial key to answer.
3.4. End a Call
Press the End key to end a call.
3.5. Emergency Services
You can dial emergency service numbers directly without a SIM card. Emergency numbers vary by network; consult your network operator.
3.6. Quick dial the extension number
After inputting a phone number, press and hold "0" to input an extension number. The display will show "P". The call will be connected directly to the extension.
3.7. Call Center
Call history: Access the call log to view details of dialed, missed, received, and rejected calls.
Prompt: Incoming calls from blacklisted numbers are saved in Rejected Calls.
Call settings: Configure calling functions such as Dual-SIM, Call divert, Call waiting, Call barring, and Hide ID.
3.8. Call Divert
Activate call forwarding based on conditions like Call Forward Unconditionally, Forward Busy, Forward No Answer, or Forward Can Not Reach. Incoming calls can be redirected to voicemail or other numbers.
3.9. Call Waiting
When call waiting is active, you can receive another call while on an existing call.
3.10. Call Barring
Activate call barring to restrict calls based on conditions like all dialed calls, all incoming calls, incoming calls while roaming, international calls, and international calls while roaming. This may require application with your network operator.
3.11. Power off the Phone
In standby mode, press and hold the End key to power off the phone.
3.12. T-flash Card
Insert the T-Flash card into the phone to expand its flash memory. Access multimedia content like MP3, MP4, pictures, and videos through the Multimedia menu.
3.13. Contacts
View, search, or add contacts. New contacts can be saved to the SIM card or phone memory, including name, phone number, and group. You can also view contact groups.
3.14. Messages
Create and send text messages. Read, forward, call back, or delete messages from the inbox. Access SMS and message settings.
3.15. Settings
Customize phone settings:
- Phone settings: Adjust Date & time, Language, Auto power on/off, etc.
- Palmachat setting: Enable or disable the palmachat message popup.
- Display: Customize interface settings like Wallpaper, Idle display, backlight, and Contrast.
- Security: Set security options for the phone and SIM card. The default phone password is 1234.
- Profiles: Select personalized scene modes (Normal, Silent, Meeting, Indoor, Outdoor) for ring settings and volume based on events and environment.
- Connections: Configure network settings for SIM1 and SIM2, including network selection and preference.
3.16. Facebook
Access the Facebook application.
3.17. Multimedia
Access multimedia options:
- Camera/Video recorder: Use the camera/video recorder. In preview mode, use the left soft key for Image viewer, DV/DC mode, or Settings. Press OK to take pictures.
- Image viewer: Preview and edit images on the phone and T-card.
- Audio player: Play music files from the phone or T-card.
- Video player: Choose videos for playback.
- Snake: Play the Snake game; refer to the help menu for instructions.
- Sound recorder: Record or listen to audio files, and set them as ringtones or alarm tones.
- My files: Manage files, including downloads, music, and received files. Create new folders or select existing ones to copy, move, or delete.
3.18. Extras
- Torch Light: Turn the flashlight on or off.
- Calendar: Add schedules and view the calendar.
- Alarm: Edit alarms, set time, ringtones, and repeat modes.
- Calculator: Perform basic arithmetic operations.
- World clock: Add cities and set the local time.
- Ebook: Read TXT format ebooks.
- Stopwatch: Use the stopwatch function for timing.
- STK: Access additional services provided by your network operator. Service availability depends on the operator. Contact your operator for more information.
- Bluetooth: Transfer data and stream audio between your phone and other Bluetooth devices.
- User Guide: View the phone's user guide.
- Carlcare: View warranty conditions and after-sales network information.
3.19. FM radio
Listen to FM radio. Use the left and right arrow keys to switch channels or manually enter a channel.
3.20. Service
Access the Internet to view information, download content like wallpapers, ringtones, and music.
4. Text Input
The device supports various text input modes for contacts, messages, and notes. Press the "#" key to switch input methods.
Letter (Capital, Normal)
In edit mode, press "#" to switch to letter input. Press keypad keys to enter letters. Press a key once for the first letter, or twice quickly for the second. Wait for the cursor to reappear before entering a letter on the same key. Use the right soft key to delete text.
Number
In edit mode, press "#" to switch to number input. Keys 0-9 correspond to numbers 0-9. Use the right soft key to delete numbers.
Punctuation
In edit mode, press "1" to access punctuation. Use the direction keys to select punctuation and the left soft key to confirm.
5. Care and Maintenance
Maintenance of battery
- Charge the battery when it is low. Full battery performance is achieved after initial full charge and discharge cycles.
- Unplug the charger when not in use. Avoid overcharging, which can shorten battery life.
- Battery charging is affected by temperature. Avoid charging in extreme temperatures (above 40°C).
- Use the battery only for its intended purpose and avoid short-circuiting.
- Do not use a damaged battery.
- Extreme temperatures can reduce battery capacity and lifespan.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire, as they may explode. Dispose of batteries according to local regulations.
Care of maintenance of your device
Follow these suggestions to protect your warranty:
- Keep the device and accessories away from small children.
- Keep the device dry. Liquids and moisture can corrode circuits.
- Avoid storing the device in hot areas, as high temperatures can shorten its life and warp plastics.
- Do not attempt to open the device yourself; non-professional handling may cause damage.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or strong detergents for cleaning.
- Use only supplied or approved attachments; unauthorized ones may invalidate the warranty.
6. Additional Safety Information
Traffic Safety
- Avoid using the device while driving unless it's an emergency and you have safety wireless equipment. Park safely to ensure full attention to driving. Observe traffic regulations.
- Vehicle electronic systems may be affected by the device's electric waves if not adequately protected.
- Use the device only in vehicles equipped with an antenna.
- Only qualified personnel should install the device in a vehicle.
Aircraft Safety
Switch off the device before boarding an aircraft. Using wireless devices on aircraft can be dangerous, disrupt the network, and may be illegal. GSM service will be unavailable, and using the device in flight is prohibited.
Environment Safety
- Follow local regulations and switch off the device when its use is prohibited or may cause danger or interference.
- Radio transmitting equipment, including wireless phones, may interfere with medical devices. Consult a physician or the medical device manufacturer if you have questions.
- The device may interfere with hearing aids, pacemakers, and other medical devices. Follow physician and manufacturer recommendations.
- Switch off the device in areas with potentially explosive atmospheres, such as gas stations or chemical factories.
- Observe restrictions on radio equipment use.
Note: The socket-outlet should be installed near the equipment and be easily accessible.

Unauthorized changes or modifications could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with Class B digital device limits under Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. The equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. Improper installation or use may cause harmful interference to radio communications. There is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a specific installation. If interference occurs with radio or television reception, try correcting it by:
- Reorienting or relocating the receiving antenna.
- Increasing the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connecting the equipment to an outlet on a circuit different from the receiver's.
- Consulting a dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician.
RF Exposure Information:
The SAR limit in the USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. Device TypesT347 (FCC ID: 2ADYY-T347) has been tested against this limit. The highest reported SAR values are 1.259 W/kg for body-worn use and 0.868 W/kg for head use. Simultaneous RF exposure is 1.319 W/Kg.
Belt clips, holsters, and similar accessories should not contain metallic components. Using accessories that do not meet these requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure regulations and should be avoided.
