Product Overview
This document provides installation instructions for the Hilti HSL4-G M10 anchor. It details the steps required for proper installation in concrete, including drilling, anchor insertion, and tightening procedures, along with key technical specifications.
The anchor is designed for reliable fixing in various construction applications.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Hole Preparation
Step 1a: Drilling
Drill a hole into the base material using a drill bit [drill] of diameter d₀ to the required depth h₁. Ensure the drill is held at a 90° angle to the surface. The diagram shows a standard drill bit and the anchor insertion process.
Step 1b: Core Drilling (Optional/Specific Cases)
For certain applications, a core drill bit [diamond drill bit] may be used. Drill a hole with diameter d₀ to depth h₁ at a 90° angle. This step may require a dust extraction system operating at 6 bar / 90 psi.
Step 1c: Anchor Insertion
Insert the HSL4-G anchor into the prepared hole. The diagram indicates the anchor's dimensions and the required hole diameter d₀, which can be 12 mm or 18 mm.
Step 2: Fastening
Step 2a: Bolt Insertion and Initial Setting
Insert the bolt through the fixture and into the anchor. Gently tap the bolt head with a hammer [hammer] to seat the anchor properly. A warning symbol [warning] indicates caution is needed.
Step 2b: Tightening the Nut
Place the nut onto the bolt and tighten it using an appropriate wrench.
Step 3: Final Torque Application
Tighten the nut to the specified installation torque T_inst. The diagram illustrates the use of a torque wrench and shows the dimension a.
Step 4: Torque Verification
Verify the installation torque. The diagram shows '1x' for a recommended check and '2x' for a forbidden action [forbidden], implying a specific torque check procedure.
