This document provides instructions for the LUMME LU-EO1715C Electric Oven.
Safety Precautions
Read this manual carefully before using the appliance and save it for future reference. Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances.
- The appliance is designed for domestic cooking and heating only.
- Before first use, check specifications and power supply. Ensure connection to a grounded socket.
- Do not use with other high-power electrical appliances simultaneously.
- Use in a well-ventilated room with at least 15 cm clearance on all sides for air circulation and heat removal.
- Keep the appliance away from flammable materials, fabrics, curtains, etc.
- Do not use near other household appliances, explosives, or flammable materials.
- Do not use with a damaged cord, plug, or if the appliance is otherwise damaged.
- Keep the power cord away from sharp edges and hot surfaces. Do not pull the cord; always grasp the plug. Do not wrap the cord around the device.
- Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Contact a service center for issues.
- Do not heat oil in the appliance.
- Using unauthorized accessories may damage the appliance.
- Place the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- DANGER: Do not cover the device or place objects on it while in operation.
- Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
- Do not touch the appliance, cord, or plug with wet hands.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised.
- Keep out of reach of children. Supervise children when the appliance is in use.
- Do not operate an empty appliance for more than 15 minutes.
- Do not allow products to touch heating elements.
- Do not expose hot glass to cold liquids, as it may crack.
- Do not place objects on or lean on the door or glass.
- Mechanical damage to the housing, door, glass, or hinge mechanism is not covered by warranty.
- If the appliance has been in temperatures below 0°C, allow it to reach room temperature for at least 2 hours before use.
- Allow the appliance to cool down completely before storing.
- WARNING: Surfaces may become hot during operation. Avoid touching hot surfaces and heating elements. Use oven mitts or gloves.
- Do not use with external timers or remote control systems.
- Failure to observe safety precautions may result in fire, electric shock, or burns. Improper use voids the warranty.
- Do not use the appliance for more than 4 hours continuously without a break.
Before First Use
- Unpack the appliance and remove all packaging materials and labels. Keep warning labels and the serial number plate.
- Clean the appliance with a damp cloth and accessories with soapy water. Dry thoroughly.
- Ensure no packaging materials or foreign objects are inside.
- To clean the appliance, select a heating mode, set the maximum temperature to 230°C, and the timer for 15 minutes. Some smoke or odor may occur, which is normal. Allow to cool after this procedure.
Operation
- Ensure the appliance is switched off (all knobs in the 'Off' position).
- Connect the appliance to the power supply.
- Place food on the bake tray or wire rack. If using the rotisserie, place food securely and ensure it does not touch heating elements. Use the crumb tray or bake tray on the bottom rack to catch drips.
- To turn on, set the desired temperature using the temperature knob (4) (70°C to 230°C).
- Select a heating mode using the heating mode knob (5).
- Set the timer from 0 to 60 minutes using the timer knob (6).
- The indicator light (3) will illuminate, and the appliance will start working.
- When the timer reaches zero, an audible signal will sound, the indicator light will turn off, and the appliance will stop.
- If food is not fully cooked, set the timer for additional cooking time.
- Timer-Free Mode: Turn the timer knob to the symbol indicating continuous operation. The appliance will run without a set time limit.
Heating Modes
Select the desired heating mode using knob (5):
- Top heating elements are on.
- Top and bottom heating elements are on.
- Bottom heating elements are on.
- Convection mode with top and bottom heating elements.
- Rotisserie mode with top heating elements.
- All heating elements and modes are off.
Using the Wire Rack and Bake Tray
- For top heating, position the rack/tray closer to the top elements.
- For bottom heating, position the rack/tray closer to the bottom elements.
- For top and bottom heating, position the rack/tray in the middle.
- Ensure food does not touch heating elements.
Using the Rotisserie
- Loosen the clamps on the rotisserie forks.
- Secure one fork onto the rotisserie spit, place food in the center, and secure the second fork. Ensure food is firmly fixed and does not touch heating elements.
- Insert the spit into the drive opening on the right and rest the other end in the holder on the left side of the oven cavity.
- Set the desired temperature, Rotisserie mode, and timer.
- Use the rotisserie handle (11) and oven mitts (not included) to install and remove the rotisserie to avoid burns.
- To remove, lift the left side of the spit to disengage from the holder, then remove the right side.
Shutting Down
- The appliance turns off automatically when the timer expires.
- To turn off manually, turn all knobs to the 'Off' position. An audible signal will sound, and the indicator light will turn off.
- Always unplug the appliance after cooking. Allow it to cool completely before storing.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Always unplug the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use chemical, abrasive cleaners, organic solvents, or aggressive liquids.
- Do not allow water or other liquids to enter the appliance. Do not immerse the appliance in water.
- Wash accessories in warm soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly. Do not wash in a dishwasher.
- Ensure the appliance and electrical contacts are completely dry before use.
- Clean the appliance regularly, inside and out.
- Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance, as this can damage it.
- Store the appliance in a dry place.
