GoXtreme Reef Camera Manual
Important Information
To ensure optimal operation of your camera, please observe the following important information:
MicroSD Card:
- Ensure your memory card is formatted in the camera before first use (Settings > Format).
- The maximum capacity of the memory card should not exceed 32GB.
- Using memory cards that exceed the recommended maximum capacity may lead to file errors.
- Recording time depends on the selected resolution.
Charging:
- Ensure the camera is fully charged before first use.
- Keep the device out of reach of children during charging.
- Ensure the camera is switched off during charging. If the camera automatically turns on when connected to a power source, switch it off to fully charge the camera. A camera connected to power and switched on will not charge.
- The camera should only be charged via the USB port of a computer or a USB power adapter with a maximum capacity of 550mAh.
- Remove the USB cable connected to the camera before using the camera.
Safety Instructions
ATTENTION: The camera is not suitable for children under 36 months due to the risk of suffocation.
The camera is waterproof up to a depth of 3m. Do not use the camera at greater depths.
ATTENTION: Do not connect the power cord with wet hands to avoid the risk of electric shock. Open the battery compartment only with dry hands and ensure that no dirt enters the camera when inserting, replacing, or removing batteries or the SD card.
After use in water, switch off the camera, ensure the battery compartment is properly closed, and rinse the camera with clean water. Do not use soap or cleaning agents, as they may negatively affect the camera's waterproofness. Let the camera dry after rinsing.
ATTENTION: Always protect your camera from drops, bumps, and impacts.
- Keep sufficient distance from objects that generate strong magnetic fields or radio waves to prevent damage to the product or degradation of sound and image quality.
- Store the device in a cool (room temperature), dry, and dust-free place, and never expose the product to high temperatures or permanent direct sunlight.
- In the unlikely event of overheating, smoke, or unpleasant odors emanating from the device, disconnect it immediately from the charging cable and remove the battery to prevent fire.
PREPARATION FOR USE
Install the included lithium battery before first use of your camera.
- Slide the battery cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the battery in the correct direction.
- Close the battery cover.
Note: Remove the battery if you know the camera will not be used for a long time.
Charging the Lithium Battery
Connect the camera to your computer via USB. The red LED lights up to indicate that the camera is charging. The LED turns off to indicate when the battery is fully charged.
Computer Requirements
Your computer must meet the following minimum requirements to transfer photos and videos:
Windows 7/XP3
- Windows 7/XP system or higher Pentium series processor
- 128MB memory / 150MB available disk space / USB interface
- Recommended screen resolution: 1024x768 resolution, 16-bit color or higher.
Windows Vista
- 800 MHz processor and 512MB system memory
- Hard disk of 20 GB with at least 16 GB available space
- Support for SVGA graphics
- USB interface
Mac
- Power Macintosh G3 500 MHz or higher configuration
- Mac OS X version 10.5.x or earlier versions
- 256MB or more system memory with 150MB available disk space
- 800x600 or higher screen resolution

INSTALLING THE MICRO SD CARD
The camera supports Micro SD memory cards up to 32GB Max. (Not included). The internal memory of the camera stores only one photo for testing purposes. Insert a Micro SD card into the memory card slot before use and ensure the card is installed correctly. When the card is inserted correctly into the slot, it slides into place smoothly, and a "Click" sound confirms the card is locked. A Micro SD card icon appears on the LCD screen to confirm that the camera has detected the card. To remove the card, simply press firmly on the card, and it will eject from the memory card slot.
Note:
- All photos are saved to the Micro SD card once it is installed.
- Formatting will erase all data on the memory card.
- Do not remove the Micro SD card during formatting, as this may damage the card.
Turning on the Camera
Press the power button on the top of the camera to turn it on. The LCD screen will activate to confirm the camera is working.
Photo Recording Mode
After turning on the camera, the [camera icon] icon will be displayed on the LCD screen to confirm that the camera is in photo mode.
Switching Between Screens
To switch between the front and rear screens, press the Screen switch button. Each press of this button alternately activates the front 1.8" screen and the rear 2.7" screen.
PHOTO MODE
To take a photo, press the shutter button. There will be a slight delay while the photo is saved to the memory card. After taking a photo, the number on the screen indicates how many more photos can be taken, considering the current settings and the size of the memory card installed at that time. A message will appear on the screen when the SD card is full. To continue, you can transfer all data from the SD card to your computer or insert a new memory card.
Digital Zoom
Your camera features a 4X digital zoom. Press the up button to zoom in and the down button to zoom out.
Built-in Flash
Press the 'Flash' button to activate the different flash modes.
- The [flash off icon] icon indicates that the flash is off. The flash will not work when this function is selected.
- The [auto flash icon] icon indicates the 'Auto Flash' mode, and the camera will automatically activate the flash when needed in low-light conditions.
- The [flash on icon] icon indicates 'Flash mode', and the flash will work every time a photo is taken.
- The [anti-red eye icon] icon indicates the 'Anti-Red Eye' mode. The camera flash will burst a flash to reduce the red-eye effect in your photos.
Scenes
Various scene modes are available to facilitate taking photos in different environments. If desired, you can select a mode that best suits the conditions in which you are photographing.
- Turn on the camera by pressing the power button.
- The [camera icon] icon will be displayed in the upper left corner of the LCD screen.
- Press the menu button.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the 'Scene' icon.
- Press the up/down buttons to select the desired scene.
- Press OK to confirm.
Photo Resolution
- Press the menu button.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the photo format icon [photo format icon].
- Press the up/down buttons to choose: (24M) 5600x4200, (20M) 5200x3900, (16M) 4608x3456, (14M) 4416x3312, (12M) 4000x3000, (10M) 3648x2736, (8M) 3264x2448, (7M HD) 3648x2048, (5M) 2592x1944, (3M) 2048x1536, (2MHD) 1920x1080, (VGA) 640x480.
- Press the OK button to confirm your choice. The photo format icon will be displayed on the LCD screen.
Anti-shake
Your camera is equipped with an anti-shake function for better photo quality when a tripod is not used.
- Press the menu button.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the anti-shake icon [anti-shake icon].
- Press the up/down buttons to select on/off.
- Press OK to confirm your choice. The [anti-shake icon] icon will be displayed on the LCD screen to confirm that anti-shake is activated.
Face Detection
To activate the face recognition function.
- Press the menu button.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the face recognition icon [face recognition icon].
- Press the up/down buttons to select face detection on/off.
- Press the OK button to confirm your choice.
Snapshot Series
With the continuous shooting function, you can take 6 separate photos in quick succession with just one press of the shutter button.
- Press the menu button.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the snapshot series icon [snapshot series icon].
- Press the up/down buttons to select continuous shooting on/off.
- Press the OK button to confirm your choice.
Note: When using the 'snapshot series' function, the photo resolution automatically changes to VGA.
Self-timer
- Press the menu button.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the self-timer icon [self-timer icon].
- Press the up/down buttons to view the self-timer options.
- Press the OK button to confirm your choice.
SETTINGS
Press the menu button and adjust the photo settings in photo mode and video settings in video mode.
Exposure
This adjusts the brightness of your photos.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the exposure option.
- Press the up/down buttons to select EV (+3 to -3).
- Press the OK button to confirm your choice and save it. The corresponding icon will be displayed on the LCD screen.
ISO
This is a special function for when the light source is insufficient, but the environment in which you are photographing may not be suitable for flash use.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the ISO option in the settings menu.
- Press the up/down buttons to select ISO: Auto/100/200/400.
- Press the menu button to save. The corresponding icon will be displayed on the LCD screen.
White Balance
This option adjusts the photo color and can be adapted to the light source.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the White Balance option in the Settings menu.
- Press the up/down buttons to make your selection.
- Press the OK button to confirm your choice and save it.
Sharpness
This function allows the user to adjust the sharpness of the photo so that the edge becomes clearer or softer.
- Press the left/right button to select the sharpness option in the settings menu.
- Press the up/down buttons to make your selection.
- Press the OK button to confirm your choice and save it.
Image Quality
This function adjusts the overall quality of your photo.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the quality option in the settings menu.
- Press the up/down buttons to make your selection.
- Press the OK button to confirm. The corresponding icon will be displayed on the LCD screen.
Color Effect
- Press the left/right button to select the Color Effect option in the settings menu.
- Press the up/down buttons to make your selection.
- Press the OK button to confirm your choice and save it.
Auto Power Off (automatic shutdown)
Note: The default setting for automatic camera shutdown is 3 minutes.
This can be set as follows:
- Press the left/right button to select the Auto Power Off option.
- Press the up/down buttons to make your selection.
- Press the OK button to confirm your choice and save it.
Note: If you select 'Off', the camera will not automatically shut down until the battery is depleted.
Formatting the Memory Card
Note: Formatting your memory card will erase all data and files on the card. Ensure all files are saved before formatting.
- Press the menu button.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the Format Memory Card option under the Settings menu.
- Press the up/down buttons to select: Yes/Cancel.
- If you select Cancel, press the OK button to confirm. The camera will return to photo mode.
- You can also press the OK button to confirm the format and format the memory card.
Factory Settings
You can reset your camera settings to the factory settings.
CAUTION: all user-defined settings will be lost unless they match some default settings.
- Press the menu button.
- Press the left/right buttons to select Factory Settings in the settings menu.
- Press the OK button to confirm your choice.
VIDEO MODE
Press the mode button to activate video recording mode.
Press the shutter button to start recording.
The video icon [video icon] will appear in the upper left corner of the LCD screen.
The recording time will be displayed in the upper right corner of the LCD screen.
The red 'Recording' icon will blink to confirm that the video is currently being recorded.
PLAYBACK MODE (VIEWING MODE)
Press the mode button to enter playback mode.
In playback mode, the [playback icon] icon will be displayed on the LCD screen.
In playback mode, you can view photos and video files currently stored on the memory card. You can also rotate, protect, and delete files.
Rotate
- In playback mode, press the menu button.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the 'Rotate' icon.
- Press the up/down buttons to select: 90º /180º /270º /cancel.
- Press the OK button to confirm your choice.
Slideshow Playback
You can choose how long each photo is displayed on the screen when using preview mode. Options (in seconds): 3s/5s/10s
Protect
Protect images and videos to prevent them from being accidentally deleted.
- In playback mode, press the menu button.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the Protect icon.
- Press the up/down buttons to select: lock/unlock.
- Press the OK button to confirm.
- When viewing photos or videos, protected files will display a lock icon on the screen.
Delete
To delete one or all unprotected images or videos.
- In playback mode, press the menu button.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the delete icon.
- Press the up/down buttons to select: Delete this photo / Delete all images / Cancel.
- Press the OK button to confirm your choice.
Delete using the delete button
In photo or video mode: With the delete button, you have the option to delete the last current photo or video file.
Photos can be printed on any Pict Bridge printer.
- Select a photo to print.
- Press the menu button.
- Press the left/right buttons to select the Print icon [print icon].
- Press the up/down buttons to select: Print/Cancel.
- Press the OK button to enter the print option.
- If wireless printing fails, connect the camera to your printer via a USB cable.
MANUAL TRANSFER OF PHOTO AND VIDEO FILES TO A PC
- Turn on the camera.
- Select playback mode.
- Connect the camera to a computer via a USB cable.
- The removable disc image will appear on the screen as shown below.
- Click on the removable drive to view the photos, which are stored in the DICM subfolder.
- You can copy and paste the photos into your chosen folder or location.

Packaging Disposal
Sort the packaging materials. Add cardboard and paper to the paper waste, the film should be recycled.

You must hand in your discarded equipment and/or batteries at the appropriate collection points for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment and/or batteries/accumulators. For more information on recycling this equipment and/or batteries, please contact your municipality, the store where you purchased the equipment, or a waste disposal company. Recycling of materials contributes to the conservation of natural resources and ensures a safe way to recycle for human health and the environment.
Battery Warning
- Do not disassemble or tamper with the battery. Ensure there is no short circuit in the battery. Do not expose the battery to high temperatures. Do not use the battery if it leaks or swells.
- Always charge via the system. If the battery is replaced with an incorrect type, there is a risk of explosion.
- Keep the battery out of reach of children.
- Batteries can explode if exposed to an open flame. Never throw batteries into a fire.
- Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local regulations.
- The battery must be removed and disposed of separately before discarding the device.
