Navigation Connections
- Pink: VSS Vehicle speed pulse signal
- Lt. Green: Parking Brake trigger (-12V when park brake ON)
- Purple/White: Reverse signal
- White: Phone mute
- Yellow: +12V constant power
Note: The RED accessory output wire from the LBW20 interface is rated at 10A Max output for most aftermarket head units. Do not connect additional +12A switched accessories to this output source as that may cause damage to the LBW20 module itself. If 10A output is not sufficient, then a relay is needed (relay not included).
Steering Wheel Wiring Codes and Connections
Wiring Diagram Description: The diagram shows a 3.5mm connector with wires labeled KEY 1, KEY 2, GND, and a separate 3.5mm connection. It also illustrates the connection of the LBW20 module to the vehicle's wiring harness and then to the aftermarket radio.
Instructions:
- Prepare SWC steering wheel connector harness by using the chart below.
- Connect the harness to the interface module.
- For Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Panasonic, and Sony car stereos, connect the 3.5mm male steering plug into the steering wheel input jack at the back of the stereo.
- For Kenwood and newer JVC stereos, connect the BROWN wire from the steering wheel harness to the "Remote in" wire at the back of the stereo.

SWC Wiring Harness Samples

- Alpine Sample 1: Note: Cut wire only, do NOT remove. Shows Orange and Green wires being cut.
- Kenwood Sample 2: Note: Cut wire only, do NOT remove. Shows Orange and Green wires being cut.
- Pioneer / Sony Sample 3: Note: Do NOT cut or remove wires. Shows Orange, Green, and Violet wires present without cutting.

The steering wheel controls are mapped as follows:

Wiring Diagram Overview
This diagram illustrates the connections between the vehicle wiring, the LBW20 module, and an aftermarket radio.
Vehicle Wire Functions:
- Pink: VSS Vehicle Speed Pulse Signal
- Lt. Green: Parking Brake Trigger
- Purple: Reverse Signal
- Pink/Black: Telephone Mute
- Yellow: +12V Constant Power
Connections to Aftermarket Radio:
- Key 2 to Aftermarket Radio
- Key 1 to Aftermarket Radio
- 3.5mm to Aftermarket Radio
- GND to Aftermarket Radio
The LBW20 module connects to the vehicle harness on one side and to the aftermarket radio via these specific ports on the other.
