Kit Components

This installation kit includes the following parts:

• 6113 Kit Panel: The main panel that fits into the vehicle's dashboard.

Introduction / Preliminary

This premium installation kit is designed for 2006-Up Toyota RAV4 vehicles. It contains all necessary parts to mount a car stereo, cassette, or CD player into the vehicle's dash. Refer to the individual instructions provided with your vehicle's factory radio and this kit for removal and assembly procedures.

CAUTION:

⚠ Disconnect your vehicle's negative battery terminal before installation to prevent electrical damage. ⚠ It is recommended to use a Volt/Ohm meter for checking wiring, as a test light or grounded wire probe can damage the vehicle's computer and/or diagnostic systems. ⚠ Avoid all factory airbag wiring, as accidental deployment can cause serious injury or death.

NOTES:

• Consult your vehicle's specific instructions for any special tools required for installation.
• Read all instructions accompanying your car stereo/cassette player for proper wiring and mounting procedures.

Vehicle Disassembly

2006 Toyota RAV4 Radio Removal

1. Using a panel removal tool, remove both the left and right panels located on each side of the factory radio.
2. Remove the four (4) 10mm bolts securing the radio to the dash. Disconnect and remove the radio.

Mounting the Radio

DIN-ISO Mount (Single DIN)

1. Snap the 6117L and 6117R brackets onto the designated mounting locations on the 6113 kit panel. Secure the 6116 pocket to the 6117L/R brackets using the hardware supplied with the installation kit.
2. Align the pocket with the lower edge of the opening in the panel and slide it in. The front of the pocket should be flush with the front of the panel. (Refer to Illustration 2).
3. Install two (2) pocket screws as indicated in Illustration 2.
4. Align, position, and bolt the aftermarket DIN-ISO head unit to the 6117L/6117R brackets. Use the hardware supplied with the aftermarket radio to secure the mounting brackets to the radio.
5. Snap the 6114 single DIN trim ring into place to complete the mounting.

Double-DIN ISO Mount

1. Snap the 6117L and 6117R brackets onto the designated mounting locations on the 6113 kit panel.
2. Align, position, and bolt the aftermarket Double-DIN head unit to the 6117L/6117R brackets. Use the hardware supplied with the aftermarket radio to secure the mounting brackets to the radio.
3. Snap the 6115 double DIN trim ring into place to complete the mounting.
