Before Starting the Equipment
5.1 Charging the battery (Fig. 2)
Connect to a power supply (DC 5V, 500mA to 2000mA), such as a mobile phone charger, USB port, or power bank (output 5V DC).
The LED indicator will illuminate red when charging and green when fully charged. The battery takes approximately 3.0-5.0 hours to charge, depending on the power supply output current.
For safety reasons, the battery cannot be charged while the tool is in use. To ensure long service life, recharge the battery promptly. Recharge when power drops or performance decreases. Never fully discharge the battery pack.
Warning! The switching devices installed on the tool are not to be removed or bypassed, as this may result in injury and the tool may not switch off automatically.
6. Operation
Clear the area to be cut of stones and other solid objects. The safety lock-off prevents unintentional starting.
Warning! The blades continue to move for a few seconds after the tool is switched OFF. Turn OFF the tool and wait until the blades come to a complete stop before adjusting or cleaning.
Caution! Never touch the blade rail while the tool is in operation and be aware of the sharp edges even when the grass and shrub shears is not in use. Do not touch the rotating blades.
Switching on (Fig. 3)
Activate the safety lock-off by pressing it and pressing the ON/OFF switch (3) simultaneously.
Switching off
To switch off the equipment, release the ON/OFF switch.
6.1 Cutting grass
Allow the grass cutter to glide above the ground. The best results are achieved when the lawn is dry. Recharge the tool immediately if you notice a drop in cutting performance to prevent the battery from becoming fully discharged.
6.2 Trimming hedges
The tool can be used to trim small hedges and shrubs. Hold the tool slightly tilted in relation to the hedge. Cut the sides from the bottom up, then cut the top. Watch out for foreign objects that could damage the blades.
Best time to trim hedges:
- Deciduous hedges (lose leaves in autumn): Trim in June and October.
- Evergreen hedges (do not lose leaves): Trim in April and August.
6.4 Changing the blade (See Fig. 4-7)
⚠️ Warning! Risk of injury! Remove the safety key from the tool before changing blades.
The tool is equipped with two interchangeable blades:
- Shrubbery blade (5) is used for hedges and shrubbery.
- Grass shear blade (1) is used for grass and hedges where finer detail is required.
To fit or change the blade:
- Hold the grass shear & shrubbery trimmer by the top.
- Press the blade release button and pull down the blade rear box. (Fig. 6)
- Press the blade release button again, insert the desired blade into the base of the motor housing until the blade rear box locks into position. (Fig. 7)
7. Cleaning, maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
- Keep safety devices, air vents, and the motor housing free of dirt and dust. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow with compressed air at low pressure.
- Clean the device immediately each time you have finished using it.
- Clean regularly with a moist cloth and mild soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents. Ensure no water seeps into the device.
- A few drops of oil (e.g., sewing machine oil) will improve blade cutting performance; never apply grease to the blades.
- Remove grass remnants and dirt from between the upper and lower blade for constant, exact cutting.
Caution! Never clean the tool under running water or with a high-pressure washer. Keep your cordless grass and shrubbery shear in a dry and frost-proof place, away from children.
7.2 Maintenance
- Keep the blades sharp at all times. Level off any jags or ridges caused by stones.
- The tool should be thoroughly cleaned both before and after use.
- There are no parts inside the equipment that require additional maintenance.
8. Disposal and recycling
The unit is supplied in packaging that can be reused or returned to the raw material system.
The unit and accessories are made of metal and plastic. Dispose of defective components as special waste. Ask your dealer or local council.
