Prerequisites for Installation
Preparation
Before installation, verify that all parts are packed with your water purifier:
- Storage Tank
- Water Purification System
- Faucet and Faucet Mounting Bracket
- Installation Kit
Installation Instructions
- Install the water purifier in a dry, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight, heating devices, or areas below freezing temperatures.
- Connect only to normal tap water. Filters can be damaged if connected to hot/cold tap water.
- Input water pressure should be within the recommended range (refer to technical specifications). If pressure is higher than specified, a PRV (Pressure Regulating Valve) is mandatory. If lower, an external booster pump is recommended.
- Ensure the purifier is installed within 1.0 m of the tap water supply.
- Do not install the purifier where water or rain could leak into the unit (e.g., outdoors).
Post-Installation Placement
- Determine the faucet location. Check for pipes or wires before drilling.
- The faucet mounting bracket can be used to mount the faucet on the wall.
- The storage tank should be placed such that the maximum distance to the faucet is 5 feet for optimal flow.
- Avoid placing the unit in freezing conditions or direct sunlight.
Input Water Quality Usage Limitations
- If input water iron content exceeds specifications, an iron remover is recommended as pre-treatment.
- If input water turbidity exceeds specifications or contains colloidal particles, a special filter is required as a pre-filter.
- For RO variants, if input water TDS is > 1,000 ppm or hardness is > 300 ppm, a Membrane Life Enhancer is recommended.
- Do not install the purifier if the input TDS exceeds the technical specifications.
** Accessories like PRV, booster pump, iron remover, special filter, and membrane life enhancer are available at an extra cost.
Installation of Water Supply Connector
Connect to the normal water tap. Ensure a three-pin 230 V 50 Hz power supply is available nearby. Avoid locations near hot water pipes or direct sunlight.
Mounting the Water Faucet
The unit includes a long-reach faucet. It can be installed on any flat surface up to 1.5 inches thick. Check for internal interference before mounting.
Connection Diagram Description
The connection diagram illustrates the flow: Water Supply connects to a Diverter Valve, which feeds the Input Water Pipe to the purification system. Reject Water Pipe is also shown. Purified water flows from the system to the Storage Tank, then via a Pure Water Pipe to the Faucet.
How to Operate Your Water Purifier
- Once installation is completed by an authorized Eureka Forbes Limited person, the product is ready for use.
- Ensure uninterrupted water and power supply.
- Switch on the unit.
- The water purifier will begin the purification process. Monitor the product's LED display for status information.
- To collect purified water, turn the faucet lever to the open position. The unit will automatically start, fill the tank, and cut off, ensuring continuous availability of purified water.
TDS Regulator (Taste Adjuster) Operating Procedure
The TDS modulator is located inside the product. In its factory setting, it is fully closed. The TDS level of output water can be increased by slowly loosening the spindle anticlockwise. A slight quarter turn is usually sufficient. Rotating the spindle clockwise closes the modulator and reduces TDS blending.
TDS blending and adjustment depend on input water TDS and RO membrane capacity. TDS adjustment should only be performed by an authorized Eureka Forbes technician.
