Welcome to the assembly instructions for your IKEA TJÅLLE upholstered ottoman bed. Please read through all instructions before starting assembly. Two people are recommended for assembly. ?‍?‍?

Assembly Steps

Step 1

Attach one bracket (10122538) to a wooden panel using four screws (10080955) and the Allen key (108490). Ensure you use the correct screw type; screws 10061933 and 10126579 are marked with ❌ and should not be used here.

The lower diagram shows two assembled frame sections.

Step 2

Attach a bracket (part similar to 10122539) to a side panel using screws (10080955) and the Allen key (108490). Screws 10061933 and 10126579 are marked with ❌ and should not be used here.

Step 3

Assemble the main frame structure. Use six screws (10080955) and the Allen key (108490) to connect side panels to the base. Screws 10061933 and 10126579 are marked with ❌ and should not be used here.

Step 4

Attach the long metal bar (10143702) to a bracket (10122539) using two screws (10061933) and the Allen key (100092). Screw 10126579 is marked with ❌ and should not be used here.

Repeat this process for the second side, indicated by "2x".

Step 5

Attach two brackets (10122539) to the wooden base using screws (10061933) and the Allen key (100092). Screw 10126579 is marked with ❌ and should not be used here.

The diagram shows attaching gas springs (10122410) to these brackets.

Step 6

Attach the mounting plates (10126043) to the bed frame. Ensure they are securely fastened until you hear a "CLICK!".

Step 7

Connect the gas spring mechanism to the bed frame. Follow the diagram to align and attach the components.

Step 8

Connect the gas spring (10122410) to the main bed frame. Use the wrench (103675) for this connection.

Step 9

Complete the attachment of the gas spring mechanism to the main bed frame. Use screws (10126579) and the Allen key (108490).

Step 10

Attach a panel to the bed frame. The diagram shows a zipper-like mechanism being engaged.

Step 11

Connect two panels together using the zipper mechanism. Use one bolt (105231), one washer (100854), and the Allen key (103675). This step is repeated 4 times (indicated by "4x").

Step 12

Continue engaging the zipper mechanism to join the panels securely.

Step 13

Attach a panel to the frame using four bolts (124334) and the Allen key (100049). Note: The diagram shows a crossed-out item labeled "100049" which appears to be a screw head, but 100049 is also listed as an Allen key. Use the Allen key (100049) to tighten the bolts (124334).

Step 14

Attach the lid/mattress support mechanism to the bed frame. Follow the visual guide to connect the hinged parts.

Step 15

Connect the gas spring to the lid mechanism. Use four screws (part number 100049, which functions as a screw in this step) and the Allen key (100049). The diagram shows the screw head and the Allen key being used.

Step 16

Attach a component to the lid. Use two bolts (10123217) and the Allen key (100092).

Step 17

Attach the lid to the main bed frame. Use four bolts (10123217) and the Allen key (108490).

Step 18

Attach panels to the side of the bed frame. Use two screws (122662) for each panel. Two such panels are attached, indicated by "2x".

Step 19

The bed lid is now in an open position, showing the storage area. Two folded panels are visible within the lid.

Step 20

Place your mattress onto the bed base. The mattress should fit within the frame.
