This document provides assembly instructions for the IKEA LÖNSET bed base.

Required tools: Screwdriver [not included].

1x Allen Key (Part No. 100006)
24x Screw (Part No. 100229)
4x Screw (Part No. 109049)
4x Washer (Part No. 100823)

Components

20x Slats (curved wooden pieces)
32x Slat Holders (plastic pieces designed to attach to the frame)
6x End Caps (for the frame)
4x Support Straps/Belts (fabric straps for reinforcing the bed base) (Part No. 139221)

Assembly Instructions

Step 1: Assemble Frame Sections

Take two frame sections. Use 3x screws (100229) with the Allen key (100006) to connect the frame parts. A magnified view shows the correct method of insertion. An image with a cross indicates an incorrect assembly method.

Step 2: Connect Frame Halves

Place the two assembled frame halves together. Secure them using 3x screws (100229) on each side. A magnified view illustrates the correct alignment and screw insertion. An image with a cross indicates incorrect alignment.

Step 3: Attach Slat Holders

Attach the 32x plastic slat holders to the assembled frame. Magnified views show how the slat holders clip onto the frame's side rails, with arrows indicating the direction of insertion. Hand icons illustrate the correct and incorrect methods for attaching the holders.

Step 4: Insert Slats

Insert the 20x curved wooden slats into the attached slat holders. Magnified views show the slats being pushed into the holders, with arrows indicating the direction. An image with a cross shows an incorrect insertion method.

Step 5: Secure Slats

Ensure all slats are properly seated in their holders. The ends of the slats are secured by the frame structure itself.

Step 6: Attach Support Straps

Attach the 4x support straps (139221) to the frame. The magnified view shows the use of the Allen key and screws for attachment. The diagram indicates 3 screws are used per attachment point.

Step 7: Final Securing

Use the remaining 4x screws (109049) with 4x washers (100823) to secure the frame. A magnified view shows the screw and washer being inserted into the designated holes at the ends of the bed frame.

Final Installation

Place the assembled LÖNSET bed base into your bed frame. Ensure it fits securely.
