Flight Preparation
- [Verify] that there are 4 "AAA" batteries inside the remote control unit and the ASC-2680 rechargeable battery has been fully charged.
- Be in a large open space, preferably a field or park with an open radius of at least 400 feet.
- Start your drone on a clean, flat, level surface before take-off.
- IMPORTANT! Until you have experience, it is not advised to fly in any wind. Pick a day with zero or extremely light wind conditions when learning.
Syncing Your ASC-2680
Important!
When syncing, always ensure the drone is on a flat level surface and digital trim settings are centered.
1. Before starting, ensure the controller power is off and the battery is removed from the ASC-2680.
2. [Insert] the battery into the ASC-2680 and set it on a flat level surface. [Press] and [hold] the power button for a few seconds (see Diagram G). The LED lights on the drone should begin to flash rapidly.
Diagram G: Shows the drone power button being pressed and the throttle stick moved fully up and then down, with an indicator light turning solid upon successful sync.
3. Quickly turn ON the remote. The top red LED light on the controller face will be flashing.
4. [Push] the throttle stick all the way up until it stops, then [pull] it back all the way down to the bottom. You should hear a high-pitched [beep] both ways. If the indicator lights on the drone and controller stop flashing and stay solid, you have successfully synced.
If you are not able to sync, repeat steps 1-4.
Special Notes During Flight
- Try not to leave too much time between turning your drone on and turning on the controller, or your syncing window will time-out.
- Syncing indoors or in shade makes LED indicators easier to see.
- During flight, the remote control will emit a [beep] if the drone is too far away. Fly the drone closer immediately to avoid signal loss.
- If the remote controller's alarm beeps and the drone continues to fly away, the drone will autonomously initiate a gradual descent to the ground where the signal was lost. The blue LED lights on the drone body will flash until the battery depletes. This helps prevent damage and aids in locating the drone.
- If the drone's relative altitude exceeds 50 feet, the remote controller will emit 5 rapid beeps to remind the operator. High winds at higher altitudes can lead to loss of control. It is recommended to avoid flying at altitudes exceeding 50-60 feet.
Flying Your ASC-2680
If you have successfully synced your ASC-2680, you are ready to fly. Familiarize yourself with starting/stopping rotors, auto-land, and control functions. As a beginner, learn in a large open field with zero or very light wind. Do not try to fly too high until you are experienced.
Recognizing The Front & Rear Of The ASC-2680
The front, or "forward" facing direction, is the side with the camera. The rear, or backward facing direction, is the side with a red light (see Diagram H).
Diagram H: Identifies the front of the drone as the side with the camera, and the rear as the side with the red light.
Starting & Stopping The Rotors
Ensure the ASC-2680 is synced (solid red light on controller and drone).

Speed Select Button
The ASC-2680 has 4 speed settings: T (Training MODE), 1 (SLOW), 2 (MEDIUM), and 3 (HIGH). The default is 1 (SLOW). [Press] the speed setting button (⚡) to cycle through speeds. You will hear [beeps] indicating the current speed. Settings can be changed before or during flight.
T (Training) MODE
[Press] and [hold] the Speed Setting Button until a long [beep] is heard. The arm lights will start flashing slowly. T Mode operates at a very slow speed with minimum and maximum height limits to help beginners avoid crashes. To exit T Mode, short [press] the speed setting button again.
Advanced Flight Features
Range Warning
When the ASC-2680's altitude exceeds 50 feet, the remote emits 5 rapid beeps. Before signal loss, the remote emits a continuous rapid warning sound, and the drone's body flashes blue strobe lights. Fly the drone closer. If signal is lost, the drone enters a slow descent and lands automatically. Blue strobe lights flash until battery depletion or restart. This helps prevent damage and aids location.
Optical Flow
The ASC-2680's Optical Flow technology uses a downward-facing camera to analyze the ground image in real-time. Its control system algorithms keep the drone stationary, regardless of wind or drift factors. This feature is functional only at altitudes below 30 feet.
Flight Control
Familiarize yourself with basic flight inputs. Start in a large space with the drone facing away from you. Practice makes perfect!
- Ascend/Descend: [Move] the left throttle stick up to increase propeller speed and ascend. [Move] it down to decrease speed and descend (see Diagram L).
- Yaw (Rotate): While in the air, [move] the left throttle stick directly left to rotate counter-clockwise, or directly right to rotate clockwise (see Diagram L1).
- Forward/Backward: While in the air, [move] the right direction control stick forward to move forward, or backward to move backward (see Diagram L2).
- Lateral Movement (Bank): While in the air, [move] the right direction control stick left to bank/sweep left, or right to bank/sweep right (see Diagram L3).
