Roth RTL Ventil
Connection
Installation Instructions
The Roth RTL valve is designed for underfloor heating systems. Follow these instructions for proper installation and configuration.
Mounting: The RTL valve can be secured to a wall or similar surface through insulation using its four screw holes. The valve must be installed on the return pipe of the underfloor heating circuit, as depicted in the diagram.
System Preparation: It is essential to thoroughly flush and air out the entire installation. This process removes any trapped air from the underfloor heating pipes and the valve itself, ensuring optimal performance.
Thermostat Configuration:
- Media Thermostat: Set the media thermostat to achieve the desired floor temperature.
- Room Thermostat: If a room thermostat (wired or wireless) is used to control room temperature, configure it after setting the media thermostat.
- Sensor Placement: Ensure the capillary sensor or wireless room thermostat is positioned to accurately measure the representative room temperature, avoiding interference from other heat sources. Refer to the provided tables for specific thermostat settings.
Technical Data and Settings
Pressure Loss Curve
The graph illustrates the pressure loss curve for the Roth RTL valve type. The x-axis shows the flow rate in cubic meters per hour (m³/h), and the y-axis indicates the pressure loss over the valve in bar. Different lines represent various valve opening positions, from fully open to partially open settings (e.g., 0.5 from open, 1 from open, up to 4 from open).
Thermostat and Room Temperature Scales
The following tables provide guidance for setting the thermostats and corresponding room temperatures.
Media Thermostat Scale
Thermostat Settings (DK/SE/NO/FI/UK) | Media Temperature (return) (DK/SE/NO/FI/UK) |
---|---|
Scale 1 | 10°C |
Scale 2 | 20°C |
Scale 3 | 30°C |
Scale 4 | 40°C |
Scale 5 | 50°C |
Note: The scale reflects the mean temperature of the thermostat.
Room Temperature Scale
Thermostat Settings (DK/SE/NO/FI/UK) | Room Temperature (DK/SE/NO/FI/UK) |
---|---|
Scale * | 6°C |
Scale 1 | 12°C |
Scale 2 | 16°C |
Scale 3 | 20°C |
Scale 4 | 24°C |
Scale 5 | 28°C |
Note: For wireless room thermostats, the room temperature is configured based on the thermostat's gradation.
