Connections Overview
This guide illustrates how to connect various accessories to your Fanatec CSL Elite Wheel Base. The available accessories include different types of shifters, a handbrake, and pedals.
Accessory Types:
- H-Pattern Shifters: Devices that simulate manual gear shifting with an H-pattern gate. The diagram shows two variations.
- Static Shifter: A shifter with a fixed lever position.
- Sequential Shifter: A shifter with a single lever that moves forward for upshifts and backward for downshifts (or vice-versa).
- Handbrake: A lever used for braking or other functions in racing simulations.
- Pedals: A set of pedals, typically including acceleration, braking, and clutch.
Connection Diagram:
The diagram shows how each accessory connects to the rear ports of the CSL Elite Wheel Base. Blue arrows indicate the connection paths:
- H-Pattern Shifters connect to ports labeled 'SHIFTER1' and 'SHIFTER2'.
- Pedals connect to the 'PEDALS' port.
- Handbrake connects to the 'HANDBRAKE' port.
- A separate 'POWER' port is also visible on the wheel base.
Fanatec CSL Elite Wheel Base Ports
The rear of the CSL Elite Wheel Base features dedicated ports for accessories:
- SHIFTER1: For connecting a shifter.
- SHIFTER2: For connecting a second shifter.
- PEDALS: For connecting the pedal set.
- HANDBRAKE: For connecting the handbrake accessory.
- POWER: For power connection (not detailed in this diagram).
The wheel base itself is depicted with a textured front face, mounting clamp mechanism, and integrated LED indicators at the top. Two buttons are visible on the front face, labeled with a power symbol and 'MODE'.
Connecting to PC/Console via USB
The CSL Elite Wheel Base connects to a PC or gaming console via USB. The diagram indicates a USB port on the wheel base.
Important USB Cable Usage:
⚠️ Important! Use only the straight USB plug packaged with the CSL Elite Wheel Base to avoid damage to the USB port.
