Air-to-Water Heat Pump
Why Choose Haier's ATW Solution?
An Air-to-Water Heat Pump (ATW HP) provides a cost-effective and sustainable method for heating living spaces. Approximately 75% of the total energy is sourced from renewable air. Powered by electricity, it offers a cleaner alternative to gas. For every kilowatt of electricity consumed, a heat pump generates about 4kW of thermal energy, making it significantly more efficient than condensing gas or oil boilers. This system is ideal for both space heating and domestic hot water supply.
Haier's ATW systems deliver exceptional efficiencies, providing up to 5kW of thermal energy for every 1kW of electrical energy. The seasonal space heating energy efficiency class reaches up to A+++ at 35°C leaving water temperature and A++ at 55°C leaving water temperature.
An illustration depicts a modern house with an outdoor Haier heat pump unit connected to indoor heating systems (radiators, underfloor heating) and supplying domestic hot water. Solar panels are visible on the roof, symbolizing renewable energy sources. The text explains that 75% of the energy comes from the air.
A bar chart displays performance data for Haier heat pump models ranging from 5kW to 16kW. It shows COP (Coefficient of Performance) and SCOP (Seasonal Coefficient of Performance) values for different capacities and operating conditions (e.g., A7W35, A7W55), indicating energy efficiency classes up to A+++.
Ultimate Comfort
High Leaving Water Temperature
Haier's ATW HP is suitable for both underfloor heating and radiators. It guarantees a high leaving water temperature of 60°C, even when the outdoor temperature drops to -15°C.
A diagram shows an outdoor unit and indoor components. It illustrates that even at an outdoor ambient temperature of -15°C, the system can achieve a leaving water temperature of 60°C.
Climate Curves
Heating and cooling water temperatures are optimally configured based on outdoor temperature, balancing comfort and efficiency. The climate curve configuration allows the system to adapt to outdoor temperature fluctuations with tailored profiles for user preferences.
Stable Water Temperature
Precise compressor rotation speed control, enabled by inverter technology, maintains water temperature within a narrow range, outperforming non-inverter systems.
Low Sound Level
The compressor features a double sound-absorbing casing and anti-vibration mounts to reduce noise. Brush-less DC fan motors and shielded water pumps further contribute to noise reduction.
Hybrid Connection
The ATW solution can integrate backup energy sources like gas boilers or solar thermal for maximum efficiency. In bivalent connection mode, the system may use a gas boiler below -10°C ambient temperature and switch to air-to-water energy as temperatures rise, optimizing system efficiency. When hybrid connection is off, the boiler and heat pump manage control automatically.
A diagram illustrates the bivalent connection. It shows an outdoor unit and indoor components. The system can switch between heat pump operation and boiler operation based on outdoor ambient temperature (-10°C is indicated as a switching point), ensuring optimal heating.
Fast DHW
The Fast Domestic Hot Water (DHW) function activates the electric heater in the DHW tank simultaneously with the heat pump. This ensures the desired temperature is reached as quickly as possible, irrespective of outdoor ambient temperature or compressor running time.
A functional diagram shows the components involved in the Fast DHW feature: Heat Pump, Backup Heater (Electric Heater), Boiler, and Water Tank. The diagram indicates that the Fast DHW function can be turned ON.
2 Zone Control
The system supports two-zone temperature control via separate heating or cooling circuits, allowing flexible temperature settings for different rooms. This feature enables maintaining two distinct water temperatures for intelligent control and energy savings.
Quiet Mode
To ensure low sound levels during quiet periods like nighttime, the Quiet mode works in conjunction with the timer function for scheduled operation.
A graph illustrates the Quiet Mode functionality over a 24-hour period. It shows 'Noon break' and 'Night' periods, with sound level and capacity on the y-axis and time on the x-axis, indicating how the system adjusts operation during these times.
Ultimate Control & High Reliability
Easy Control
The system features a new 5-inch, full-color touch screen controller with a stylish black finish, a user-friendly interface, and intuitive icons for a modern experience. It can be installed anywhere for convenient access and operation.
A close-up image shows the 5-inch, full-color touch screen controller with a modern interface displaying heating and hot water information.
Cascade Control
For enhanced flexibility and larger capacity requirements, up to 8 units can be combined into a single system.
An illustration shows multiple outdoor heat pump units connected together, representing the Cascade Control feature for scaling system capacity.
Easy 3rd party BMS solution
The ATW unit integrates the MODBUS RTU communication protocol, allowing direct connection to a 3rd party BMS or BAS without requiring an additional Modbus gateway.
Check System Parameters
The 'System Status' function allows users to monitor important system parameters, including indoor and outdoor unit data, aiding in performance monitoring and optimization.
Scheduling Programs
Users can create convenient scheduled programs, defining program names, timer settings (on/off), mode selection, leaving temperature, and frequency. Once set, the system operates automatically according to the preset schedule.
Check Error Information
In case of errors, the service engineer can access both current and historical error records, facilitating faster troubleshooting.
Mode Selection
- 5 single operation modes: Cool, Heat, AUTO, DHW, Pool
- 5 combinations: Auto+Heat, Auto+Cool, Cool+DHW, Heat+DHW, Pool+DHW
- Default priority: DHW first
High Reliability
Anti-freeze
The anti-freeze program protects hydraulic parts from damage. The water pump activates when the water temperature drops below 5°C for more than 10 minutes, preventing freezing.
A graph illustrates the anti-freeze function. It shows water temperature over time, indicating that the water pump turns ON when the temperature falls below 5°C for over 10 minutes, while the heat pump may be OFF.
Sterilisation Mode
When activated, this mode eliminates harmful bacteria by heating the water to 70°C. It can be programmed weekly or scheduled for specific periods.
Smart Grid Compatibility
This system is compatible with Smart Grid functions integrated into modern power grids. It signals connected devices with real-time energy cost information, allowing equipment to adjust its operation for optimized savings.
