13.1 Adjustments before initial startup
13.1.1 Check the screwed
Check all screws before commissioning and tighten them if necessary.
13.1.2 Before you use:
Before you start the saw, make sure:
- That all machine components are in good working order.
- That you have set the right blade speed for the material and use the correct blade.
- That the workpiece is properly clamped at the correct angle.
- That the workpiece rests safely. For longer workpieces, these should be supported by a backing (e.g., dolly).
- That the saw band is set correctly (tension and vertically).
- That the saw arm is pivoted up and the workpiece is not affected.
- That no tools are left on the machine bed.
13.1.1 Adjusting the vertical bandsaw blade guide for clippings
Slightly loosen the left bandsaw blade guide with the screw for fixation.
The tolerance is set by lowering the bandsaw blade guide leveling on the bearing roll on the bandsaw blade to zero.
Slightly loosen the nuts on either side guide rollers with a wrench SW17.
With a wrench SW12, adjust the eccentric bearing roller externally or internally. Repeat on both sides until there is no play between the bearing rollers. The bandsaw blade should be centered on the upper bearing roller.
CAUTION: The two lower side rollers do not clamp!
After both bearing rollers are adjusted free of play, tighten the two nuts on the leadership roles.
Example of a perfect adjustment of the bandsaw blade guide:
Left Image: The bandsaw blade has too much play and is therefore still canted between the lateral bearing rollers.
Right Image: The saw blade is completely vertical without any play between the lateral bearing rollers.
CAUTION: Before tightening the bandsaw blade guide, examine whether the saw band is set perfectly vertical below and readjust the bandsaw blade guide accordingly.
Tighten the bandsaw blade guide with the screw for fixing.
NOTE: Check the 90° bandsaw blade guide with an angle gauge or with a rectangular workpiece. Repeat this process on the right if the saw band blade guiding is not performed exactly vertical.
NOTE: The bandsaw blade guide slides (left/right) as close as possible to the workpiece. By loosening the fixing nuts (12), the blade guides can be moved.
CAUTION: Bevel cuts result from not exactly vertical set saw blade guides and too much play between the lateral bearing rollers!
WARNING ⚠️ Perform all conversion work in isolation from the mains!
13.1.2 Select the saw blade speed
The saw blade is driven via a belt drive. Adjust the saw blade speed according to the material to be cut.
Diagram Description: A diagram shows a motor pulley and a saw pulley with belt positions labeled A-F.
Select the feed according to the following table.
Material | speed (m/min) | Belt position (Motor pulley) | Belt position (Drive pulley) | Saw band |

19 Guarantee Declaration
(Stand 25.06.2015)
Buyer's warranty claims from the purchase contract towards the seller (HOLZMANN distribution partner) as well as statutory warranty rights of the respective country are not affected by this guarantee declaration. For this machine, we provide a guarantee according to the following conditions:
A) The guarantee covers the free of charge elimination of all defects on the machine, according to the following regulations (B-G), which impair the proper function of the machine and are demonstrably based on material or manufacturing defects.
B) The guarantee period is 12 months, reduced to 6 months for commercial use. The guarantee period begins from the delivery of the machine to the first end-user. The original delivery receipt is decisive as proof; for self-collection, the original purchase receipt.
C) To register guarantee claims, please contact the HOLZMANN distribution partner from whom you purchased the machine, with the following documents:
- Purchase receipt and/or delivery receipt
- Completed service form with defect report
- For spare part requests: a copy of the spare part drawing with the required spare parts marked.
D) Guarantee processing and place of fulfillment are determined according to HOLZMANN GmbH's discretion. Easily rectifiable defects are remedied by our distribution partners; for more complex defects, we reserve the right to an assessment in 4707 Haslach, Austria. Unless an additional on-site service contract is explicitly concluded, the place of fulfillment for guarantee services is always the HOLZMANN-MASCHINEN headquarters in 4707 Haslach, Austria. Any transport costs incurred within the scope of guarantee processing to and from the headquarters are not covered by this manufacturer's guarantee.
E) Guarantee exclusion for defects:
- On machine parts subject to wear and tear due to use or natural wear, as well as defects on the machine attributable to wear and tear due to use or natural wear.
- Those attributable to improper or negligent assembly, commissioning, or connection to the electrical network.
- Those attributable to non-compliance with operating instructions, non-intended use, atypical environmental conditions, unsuitable operating conditions and application areas, insufficient or improper maintenance or care.
- Those caused by the use or installation of accessories, supplementary, or spare parts that are not original HOLZMANN spare parts.
- Minor deviations from the specified condition that are insignificant for the value or usability of the machine.
- Those attributable to negligent construction-related overuse. Especially for defects due to usage that can be classified as commercial based on the load level and scope, for machines that are not designed and intended for commercial use according to their design and performance.
F) Within the scope of this guarantee, further claims by the buyer beyond the explicitly mentioned guarantee services are excluded.
G) This manufacturer's guarantee is provided voluntarily. Guarantee services therefore do not extend or renew the guarantee period for the machine or the replaced part.
