Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures longevity and safe operation. Note: Do not use solvents or aggressive cleaners that can damage the finish. Observe cleaning agent manufacturer instructions. Remove chips and dirt after each use. Lubricate bare metal parts with acid-free oil (e.g., WD40).

Maintenance

The machine is low-maintenance. Malfunctions affecting safety must be repaired immediately. Check safety devices and labels regularly. Use only proper tools and original spare parts.

Maintenance Plan

  • Before usage: Clean machine (dust and chips).
  • Once a week: Clean flywheel housing (dust and chips).
  • Monthly: Check/lubricate moving parts.
  • On demand: Check, retighten, or replace V-belt, rubber bandage, chip brushes.

Changing/Tensioning the Saw Band

Caution: Incorrect tension can cause injury. Check tension before each start-up.

Procedure: Disconnect power, remove table inlay/slot pin, remove rip fence guide, open flywheel covers. Loosen clamping wheel (1), adjust tension with handwheel (2). Thread new band, ensuring correct cutting direction. Adjust tension (1-2 mm yield). Check tracking, readjust if needed. Fix clamping wheel. Close covers, reassemble guides.

Checking/Adjusting/Replacing the V-belt

Note: Keep V-belt correctly tensioned. Too loose weakens power transmission; too tight causes stress/heating.

To check/adjust/replace, open lower flywheel cover. Belt tension is correct if it yields 5-6 mm under 3-4 kg pressure. Adjust tension by shifting the motor. For replacement, remove saw band, de-tension belt, pull over pulley, insert new belt, re-tension, and re-install saw band.
