Operation

Initial Check Before Start:

  1. Glue Granulate Filling: Open the granulate container (1) and fill. Close the container. Ensure heating elements (2) are covered.
  2. Inserting Edgeband in Edgeband Feed: Place the edgeband (2) on the support (1), pass it through rollers (3), pressure roller feed (5), and feed roller (6) up to the crosscut blade (4).
  3. Adjusting the Height of the Edge Band: Adjustment is made in 3 positions. For positions 1 & 2, loosen clamping lever (S), move to desired height, and retighten. For position 3, adjust using knurled screw S1. Note: Optimum height adjustment = edge band + slight play (1-2mm) to prevent jamming.
  4. Applying Contact Pressure to Edge Band: Adjust the pressure roller (2) position relative to the edge band by turning knob (1) to set contact pressure based on edge band thickness.

Switching On the Machine:

  1. Turn the main switch (1) to ON (I). The control lamp (2) will light up.
  2. Switch on the feeding unit by turning the de-activation switch to ON (I).

Setting the Glue Temperature:

Use the control unit (1) to preset the glue temperature. The current temperature is shown on display (2).

NOTE: The feed unit is not released until the target glue temperature is reached.

Adjusting the Feed Rate:

The feed control unit (1) sets/displays feed speed and activates the motor. Display (2) shows the current speed.

NOTE: This control unit is active only when the feed motor is activated.

Setting the Mode Selector Switch:

The mode selector switch (1) selects the operating mode:

Adjusting the Glue Quantity:

Use setting wheels 1 and 2 to adjust glue quantity.

Edge Banding (Straight Edge Mode):

Checklist before start:

Gluing process:

  1. Place workpiece to the right of the limit switch at the stop.
  2. Push workpiece left. When the limit switch is actuated, edge feed starts automatically at the selected speed.
  3. Push workpiece evenly, with a slight edge band overhang, against the rubber rollers.
  4. When the workpiece no longer contacts the limit switch, the edgeband is cut, and feed stops.
  5. Another edge can be glued, or the machine stopped.

Edge Banding (Radius "S" Mode):

Checklist before start:

If necessary, remove pressure rollers (1, 2) and workpiece support (3) by unscrewing (S).

Adjusting the Timer for Edge Band Length:

The timer can be set using buttons. After feed activation, it counts down. At 0, the edge is cut off and feed stops.

Foot Pedal:

Gluing process:

  1. Place workpiece against the stop.
  2. Press foot pedal (1) to start edge feed and band feeding at the selected speed.
  3. Push workpiece evenly, with a short overhang, against the rubber rollers.
  4. After the timer elapses, the edge band is cut, and feed stops. Alternatively, stop by pressing the second foot pedal (2).
  5. Another edge can be glued, or the machine stopped.

Stop / Switch Off the Machine:

Observe national waste disposal regulations. Do not dispose of the machine or its components in residual waste. Contact local authorities for disposal options.

Troubleshooting

WARNING: Always disconnect the machine from the power supply before servicing or maintenance work.

Trouble Possible Cause Solution
Machine does not start
  • EMERGENCY STOP button activated
  • Switch or a phase is broken
  • Turn the EMERGENCY STOP button to the right to unlock
  • Repair the defective switch or phase
Glue is applied to rollers
  • Overheating protection activated
  • Too much glue added
  • Let the heater cool down
  • Decrease glue supply
Edge band is not glued optimally
  • Too little glue is added
  • Increase glue supply
