Safety Precautions

Observe laws and rules that restrict the use of mobile phones in specific cases and environmental conditions.

Do not use your phone in operating rooms, emergency rooms, or intensive care units. Comply with the rules and regulations of hospitals and health centers. Consult your doctor and the device manufacturer to determine if your phone's operation may interfere with the operation of your medical device. To avoid possible interference with a pacemaker, maintain a minimum separation of 15cm between the mobile phone and the pacemaker. To achieve this, use the phone on the ear opposite your pacemaker and do not carry it in your chest pocket. Do not use your phone near hearing aids, cochlear implants, etc., to avoid interference with medical equipment.

Respect aviation safety regulations and turn off your phone on board aircraft when necessary.

When driving a vehicle, use your phone in accordance with relevant traffic laws and regulations.

To avoid lightning strikes, do not use your phone outdoors during electrical storms.

Do not use your phone to make calls while it is charging.

Do not use your phones in humid places, such as bathrooms. Doing so may cause electric shocks, injuries, fires, and damage to the charger.

Information on Radiofrequency (RF) Exposure (Specific Absorption Rate, SAR)

Wi-Fi connectivity (including Wi-Fi frequency bands, Wi-Fi standards, and other functions as ratified in the IEEE 802.11 standard specifications) may vary depending on regional availability and local network compatibility. The function can be added via OTA when and where applicable.

CONNECTION INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. To connect your mobile phone to electrical power and recharge the internal battery, use only your battery charger provided with the equipment.
  2. Connect the USB cable to the phone's USB port.
  3. Connect the USB cable to the battery charger's USB port.
  4. Connect the charger to an AC power outlet (100V-240V~).
  5. To disconnect the charger when the battery is recharged, hold the charger firmly and remove it from the AC outlet; never pull the cable.

IMEI Location

The IMEI is located on a label attached to the back of your equipment and on the label attached to the box.

To get your equipment's IMEI, press the "phone" icon and dial *#06# or consult it in "Settings" > "About phone" > "All specifications" > "Status" > "IMEI".

Geographic location of the mobile phone

To geolocate your mobile phone, the equipment must have the following configurations enabled:

  1. A Mi account or a Google account linked and active on the equipment.
  2. Internet connection via mobile data and/or WiFi.
  3. "Location" functionality enabled.

Location via your MI account

To locate the mobile phone online via your Mi account, go to the following site and log in with the Mi account linked to the mobile phone: https://i.mi.com/?_locale=es_US

Once logged in, you can check your device's location.

Location via your Google account

To locate the mobile phone online via your Google account, go to the following site and log in with the Google account linked to the mobile phone: https://myaccount.google.com/find-your-phone

Once logged in, you can check your device's geographic location.

Protecting your phone's content

To protect your phone's content, you can use the following screen lock functionalities:

  1. Pattern lock
  2. PIN
  3. Password
  4. Fingerprint
  5. Facial unlock

To access and configure these options, go to: "Settings" / "Passwords & security"; in this menu, you can choose your preferred screen lock method.

Using the FM Radio

For the FM Radio function, press the "Home"/"Tools"/"FM Radio" button; headphones must be connected as they function as an antenna.

Cell Broadcast (CBS) is a function that offers SMS decoding, supports geofencing for emergency and non-emergency wireless alerts, and provides information to end-users based on regional and mobile carrier regulations.

This device supports the CBS function and complies with Part 3 of the IFT-011-2022 standard. To access the CBS configuration menu, go to Settings > Security & emergency > Wireless emergency alerts, and select the "on" or "off" options to receive or not receive the corresponding alerts.
