3. Installation

  • Drill 2 holes (A, C) on the wall for the screws and one hole for the cable.
  • Knock the rubber bungs to the holes (A, C).
  • Fix the back cover on the wall with 2 screws.
  • Thread the cable though the cable hole (B).
  • Attach the unit to the back cover.

Installation Diagram Description: The diagram illustrates the mounting process in three steps. Step 1 shows a wall with marked points for drilling: two 5mm holes (A and C) for screws and one 10mm hole (B) for the cable. The wall height is indicated as 70mm. Step 2 shows the back cover being fixed to the wall with screws. Step 3 shows the reader unit being attached to the back cover after threading the cable through hole B.

Connection Diagram Description: The diagram shows a reader unit with multiple wires connecting to an access controller. The reader's wires are color-coded: Red for +DC (9-24V DC), Black for Ground (GND), Green for Data 0 (D0), White for Data 1 (D1), Brown for LED control, and Yellow for Buzzer control.

4. Functions Table Sheet

Read CardThe LED light will turn into Green, and the buzzer sounds a beep, at the meantime, the reader outputs the Wiegand signal.
External LED ControlWhen the input voltage for LED is low, the LED will turn into Green.
External Buzzer ControlWhen the input voltage for Buzzer is low, the Buzzer will sounds.
Wiegand Data OutputWiegand 26~37 bits range available for S-RX Series readers, factory default setting is Wiegand 26 bits. HID card can output Wiegand 26~37 bits automatically, EM and Mifare cards are forced to output based on the reader setting.

5. Data Signal

DescriptionS-RX Series Reader Typical Time
Pulse Width Time42 µS
Pulse Interval Time2 mS

The table shows the typical timing for the Wiegand data output from the readers. The data signal diagram illustrates the waveform for pulse width time (duration of a pulse) and pulse interval time (time between pulses), with D0 and D1 signals transitioning between +5V and 0V. D0 has a pulse width of 42µS, and the pulse interval is 2mS.
