User Manual
Introduction
Thank you for choosing the beyerdynamic MMX 330 PRO gaming headset, equipped with STELLAR.45 drivers!
Please take sufficient time to read the instructions in this user manual before using the product.
Safety Instructions ⚠️
Risk of Hearing Damage
Prolonged exposure to high volume levels can cause hearing damage. Hearing loss is irreversible!
If you experience tinnitus (ringing in the ears), discontinue use or reduce the volume.
According to valid recommendations, sound and vibration can cause health damage. To avoid this, adhere to the following time limits:
Sound Pressure Level | Maximum Duration |
---|---|
85 dB | Up to 8 hours |
88 dB | Up to 4 hours |
91 dB | Up to 2 hours |
94 dB | Up to 1 hour |
97 dB | Up to 30 minutes |
100 dB | Up to 15 minutes |
Before using the headset, set the volume to the minimum level. Only increase the volume after placing the headset on your ears.
When using wired headphones, avoid sudden movements, as they can cause injury, especially if you wear piercings, earrings, glasses, or other items that could get caught in the cable.
Microphone Connection
Never plug the microphone into a connector that may have voltage (12 – 48 volts) present, as this can damage the microphone.
Life Hazard
The design of the headset significantly reduces the perception of ambient noise. Using the headset while driving can create a dangerous situation. The headset should be used in such a way that listening to music does not impair the user's hearing to the extent that it poses a safety risk in traffic situations, especially in the vicinity of dangerous construction machinery and equipment.
Do not use the headset in locations where good hearing is absolutely essential, particularly when crossing railway tracks or in construction areas.
Responsibility / Intended Use
The headset must only be used as described in this manual.
beyerdynamic is not liable for any damage or personal injury resulting from careless, improper, or unintended use of the headset.

Usage
Connecting the Cable to the Headset
The included five-pole cable is equipped with strain relief. When connecting the cable, rotate the connector clockwise to insert it. If the headset is not working properly, simply unplug the cable and reinsert it firmly, rotating the jack plug.
Connecting the Cable to a PC
The other end of the cable has two three-pole, 3.5 mm jack connectors. Connect the connector labeled for the headset to the computer's headphone output. Connect the connector labeled for the microphone to the computer's microphone input.
Connecting the Cable to Gaming Consoles
Unlike PCs, gaming consoles typically use a single 3.5 mm jack connector. Use the adapter included with the headset and cable, connecting them as shown in the diagram.
As an alternative, you can purchase a 1.2-meter connection cable directly for gaming consoles (order number: #918105).
Headset Placement
Place the headset on your head. The microphone should be on the left side.
Adjust the microphone so it is positioned approximately 2 cm in front of your mouth. Using a pop filter is recommended to filter out "pop" sounds.
Headband Adjustment
For the most comfortable fit, adjust the headband size appropriately using the sliding parts on the left and right sides. The headband is optimally positioned when it is centered on your head. In the optimal position:
- The ear pads completely cover your ears.
- There is slight pressure on both ears.
- The adjustable part of the headband is the same length on both sides.
Microphone Adjustment
Rotate the adapter holding the microphone (not the flexible arm!) to the desired position. Ensure the pop filter completely covers the microphone.
Warning: Never bend the flexible arm more than 90 degrees to prevent cable breakage and premature wear! ⚠️
Remote Control
The included connection cable features a built-in remote control with a volume dial and a mute button. Use the volume dial to adjust the volume and the mute button to mute or activate the microphone.
- Increase Volume: Rotate the volume dial upwards.
- Decrease Volume: Rotate the volume dial downwards.
- Mute Microphone: Slide the mute switch downwards (the red indicator will be visible).
- Activate Microphone: Slide the mute switch upwards (the red indicator will not be visible).
Maintenance
As with any device used close to sensitive parts of the body, it is crucial to keep the ear pads and headband padding clean. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth for cleaning. Ensure no liquid enters the headset's interior. If necessary, you can remove the ear pads and headband padding to clean them with warm, soapy water.
Warning: Never use cleaning agents containing solvents! Also, ensure the ear pads and headband are completely dry before reattaching them to the MMX 330 PRO headset.
Never use a vacuum cleaner to clean the MMX 330 PRO, as this can cause irreparable damage.
Ear Pad Replacement
Gently detach the ear pad from the earcup using your fingertip. Insert the plastic rim of the ear pad into the designated recess, then rotate the ear pad clockwise to secure it.
Headband Padding Replacement
Carefully release the buttons and remove the headband padding. Place the new padding around the headband and cable. Fasten the buttons.
If ear pads or headband padding need replacement later, refer to the "Accessories and Spare Parts" section. Replacement can be easily done at home following the instructions in the "Ear Pad Replacement" and "Headband Padding Replacement" sections. If other headset components need replacement, contact your dealer using the information provided in the user manual.
