This document provides essential safety instructions, usage guidelines, technical specifications, and warranty information for the beyerdynamic MMX 200 wireless gaming headset and its accompanying low latency wireless adapter.

Safety Instructions

Please read these safety instructions carefully and in their entirety before using the product. Adhere to all instructions, especially those concerning safe product usage. Operating instructions can be found in the user manual, available for download from the beyerdynamic website at www.beyerdynamic.com. Do not use the product if it is damaged.

Responsibility and Intended Use

Use the product only as described in this manual. beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG assumes no liability for product damage or personal injury caused by negligent, improper, or incorrect use, or use for purposes not specified by the manufacturer. beyerdynamic is not responsible for damage to USB devices that do not comply with USB specifications, or for connection interruptions due to depleted or old batteries, or exceeding Bluetooth® range. Always check relevant country-specific regulations before use.

Volume Adjustment

High volume levels for extended periods can permanently damage your hearing [hearing damage warning].

  • Before putting on the headset, set the volume to minimum.
  • Do not use the headset at high volume for extended periods. When listening and speaking normally, you should still be able to hear your own voice.
  • If you experience tinnitus, reduce the volume. Consult a doctor if necessary.
  • Prolonged exposure to high volume levels can cause irreversible hearing damage. Always ensure an adequate volume level. Keep listening periods as short as possible at high volumes.

Protection and Maintenance

  • Prevent liquids from entering the product (e.g., during cleaning). Water or other liquid ingress can damage the product.
  • Clean the headset regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth. If necessary, slightly dampen the cloth with lukewarm water. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, as they may damage the product's surface or cables.

Choking Hazard

Keep small parts, such as the product, packaging, and accessories, away from children and pets. They pose a choking hazard if swallowed!

Battery Usage

Danger from heat, water, and mechanical stress: Excessive heat, moisture, and mechanical stress can cause explosion, overheating, fire, smoke, or fumes, leading to injury and irreversible battery damage.

  • Do not expose the battery to excessive heat, fire, or extremely low atmospheric pressure. This poses a risk of explosion, fire, smoke, or gas fumes.
  • Do not subject the battery to mechanical stress, such as crushing. This can lead to irreversible battery damage, explosion, or injury.
  • Do not open the casing or disassemble/replace the battery.
  • Use only a 5V power supply compliant with USB 2.0/3.0 standards to charge the battery via the integrated USB Type-C connector.
  • Disconnect the USB charging cable and charger after charging is complete.

Battery Storage

If the product will not be used for an extended period, store the battery at approximately 50% of its maximum capacity and at temperatures up to 30°C.

Environmental Conditions

Do not expose the product to rain, snow, liquids, or moisture.

Disposal Instructions

Recycling (Environment): European directives 2012/19/EU and 2006/66/EU state that electrical and electronic equipment, as well as batteries, must not be disposed of with household waste. Consumers are legally obligated to dispose of electrical and electronic equipment and batteries at designated local collection points for recycling. This is indicated by a symbol on the product label or packaging [do not dispose of with household waste]. The materials used in this product are also recyclable. By enabling the recycling of valuable materials or other ecological processes, you significantly contribute to environmental protection.

Battery Disposal: Dispose of batteries separately after use, in accordance with applicable regulations. They must not be thrown away with household waste. Return is free for consumers/end-users. Before disposal, discharge and remove the batteries. For this product, non-destructive battery removal by the end-user is not possible. Please contact beyerdynamic or an independent professional.
