Panel Introduction
The flagship product of the 'Symphony Series', Costa Mesa 900 features a brilliant 6.75-inch capacitive display with a high-end tuner and runs on Android OS Version 6.0.
Panel Buttons:
- 1: Power On/Off device / Light touch to mute audio output.
- 2: Return to the previous page. Tap the [◀️] icon to return to the previous page.
- 3: Increase audio volume.
- 4: Decrease audio volume.
- 5: Go to home menu.
- 6: Touch & slide the top row of icons left or right to show more pages/icons.
- 7: Micro SD card slot for Navigation.

Safety Notes
General Warning
- Do not modify or open the device. Unauthorized modifications are prohibited. Seek assistance from an authorized service center.
- Use as Directed: This system is intended for 12V vehicle systems and must be installed in a 2DIN slot. Observe output limits. Installation and repairs by authorized specialists only.
- Installation Instructions: Self-installation is only recommended for experienced users familiar with vehicle electrical systems. Ensure you have the correct tools.
- Safe Operation: Always maintain control of the vehicle. Avoid using distracting applications (e.g., video playback, destination search) while driving. Park the vehicle in a safe location to use such features.
- Follow Traffic Regulations: Prioritize traffic signs and regulations over navigation guidance.
- Moderate Volume: Listen at a moderate volume to protect hearing and be aware of warning signals. Avoid changing volume during mute phases.
Battery Hazard (Remote Control)
The remote control uses a coin/button cell battery. Swallowing can cause severe internal burns and death. Keep batteries away from children. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention.
Road Safety
- Read all instructions carefully before use.
- Improper operations may void the warranty.
- Do not watch videos or operate the unit while driving.
- Distracting applications (navigation, video, internet, PhoneLINK, Play Store) can lead to serious accidents. Use these features only when the vehicle is parked.
- Avoid short circuits: Do not expose the unit to water or place metal objects inside it.
- Operate only as per the manual. Maintenance requires professional help.
- Avoid draining the car battery by prolonged use after the engine is off.

Placing the Device in Operation
Switching on/off with the touch button
Touch the ? button to switch on. Hold the button pressed for more than 2 seconds to switch off.
Turn the unit on/off with ignition switch
Turn the unit on: When the ignition switch is at ACC ON position, press the ? button on the panel.
Turn the unit off: When the unit is ON, long-press the ? button on the panel for more than 2 seconds.
Main menu (Home)
Touch buttons on the touchscreen to access different sources and modes. Press the ? button to return to the main menu (home page). The last active audio source continues to play until a new one is selected.
Volume
Adjust volume from 0 (minimum) to 40 (maximum) using the ➕ and ➖ buttons. Mute audio by touching the ? icon. Briefly press ? to unmute or restore the previous volume.

After turning on, the system defaults to Radio mode. Tap the ? icon to enter the main interface.

Tap the [Screen Off] icon to turn the screen off. Tap any area to turn it back on. This is recommended while driving to avoid distraction.

Radio Function
Radio function operation
Touch the ? icon in the main interface to enter the Radio interface.
- Select the 'Radio' option.
- The current setting is displayed as 'EUROPE' region'. Leave it at the current setting.
Setting the reception area
This system operates in different regions. The factory default is 'EUROPE'. To set a suitable reception area:
- From the home page, press the ⚙️ (System Settings) icon.
- In the Settings menu, press the (General) button.
- Select the Radio region button to display available areas.
- Double-click the desired reception area.
- The main menu will be displayed again.
Tuning Into a station
- Briefly press the 7/8 button to change frequency incrementally.
- Touch and drag the frequency bar to select a frequency directly.
- Press the 7/8 button for approx. 2 seconds to start station seek tuning. The radio tunes to the next receivable station.
Storing stations manually
- Select the desired memory bank with the FM/AM button.
- Set the desired station.
- Press and hold a memory button for approx. 2 seconds to store the current station.
The station is stored and can be switched by selecting the desired station. The device can automatically search and store 6 FM stations per memory bank.
Scanning stations
Long press the 7/8 button to scan and play all receivable stations of the current wave band for a few seconds.
Band Switch
Tap the FM/AM icon to switch between FM1/FM2/FM3/AM1/AM2 bands.
Tune and Seek
Short press 7/8 to tune point by point. Long press 7/8 to seek manually. Seeking stops when a station is found.
Auto Seek and Store stations
Long-press the L icon to auto seek and store stations. Tap L again to stop seeking. Up to 18 stations can be stored in FM bands (6 per bank) and 12 in AM bands (6 per bank).
Select memory bank
On the home screen, touch the ? icon. Press the FM/AM button repeatedly until the desired memory bank is displayed.
Sound Settings
Equalizer settings
In the main menu or control bar, press the ?️ (Equalizer) button. The 10-band equalizer allows fine-tuning of sound.
Select EQ settings for genres like Pop, Rock, Classical, Jazz, Flat, or Custom.
Audio Distribution (fader/balance)
Press BAL/FAD to adjust the Balance (Left-Right) and Fader (Front-Rear) for passenger preferences.

Adjust using the blue dot or arrow keys. Balance/Fader is recommended at 0-0. Volume can also be adjusted via the ➕/➖ buttons on the device panel or by sliding down from the upper-right area of the main interface.
Navigation Function
This device features onboard navigation. Insert the mSD card (sold separately) into the map slot and enter your destination for turn-by-turn voice guidance.
Important: Drive according to actual road conditions and traffic rules, which always take priority over navigation guidance. Map data is updated regularly.
Steps to open the navigation:
- Insert SD card in the Navigation Slot.
- Tap the ? [Navigation] icon in the main interface.
- Enter the desired destination using the input key.
- Use various search functions to find the destination.
- Once set, the system will plan the route and begin navigating.
If you are familiar with the area, driving yourself may be preferable to relying solely on the navigation system.
Navigation settings
Five icons enhance the navigation experience:
- Take me home: Set your home address to plan routes back home.
- Route: Displays vital information about your current trip.
- Favorites: Store frequently traveled destinations for quick access.
- History: Shows your travel history.
- Settings: General navigation settings.
Navigation Settings Options:

In case of error
Satellite signal reception errors may occur. Pay attention to road conditions and drive accordingly. Large electromagnetic disturbances may require a system restart.
Phone Feature
Warning: Using a handheld phone while driving is illegal. This device enables hands-free calling. Minimize phone use while driving.
Making a call via Bluetooth
First-time pairing:
- Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile.
- On the mobile or unit, search for Bluetooth devices and connect. Device name: C900.
- Enter the password 0000 on your mobile when prompted.
After successful pairing, the unit connects automatically to the last paired mobile. The Bluetooth connection status icon (?) will turn white.
Ensure your mobile's Bluetooth is set to 'Visible to all nearby devices'.
Dialling
After connecting, input numbers using the numeric keypad and tap ? to make a call. Use ⌫ to delete digits (one by one or all). You can also dial directly from your mobile.
Answering a call
When a call comes in, the system switches to the Bluetooth interface. Tap ✅ to answer or refuse. You can also answer/refuse via your mobile.
View Call History
Tap the [←] icon in the Bluetooth interface to view outgoing, missed, and incoming calls.
View Phone Book
Tap the [?] icon in Bluetooth mode to access the phone book. After successful connection, grant access to contacts and call history on your mobile. The phonebook will download to the unit.
Play Music
Touch the ? icon for music stored on the device or USB. Touch the ?? icon for Bluetooth music.
Music Playback Controls
- ?: Shuffle playlist

Bluetooth Music Function
Stream music directly from your mobile device to the radio.
USB Music Function
Supported formats include MP3, M4A, WAV, AMR, WMA, OGG, AAC, MID, etc.
USB data carrier
Features 3 Rear USB ports (Type A). One port supports quick charging (up to 2A), others up to 1.5A.
Note: Playback of movies and images is allowed only when the vehicle is parked and the handbrake is applied.
Audio playback from USB
Principles are identical for all sources. Select desired source via the main menu.
Video playback from USB
Select desired source from the main menu. Important: Do not watch video while driving.
General Feature
Instructions on PhoneLINK
PhoneLINK mirrors your phone screen on the head unit. Available for Android/iOS phones. Access apps, emails, and messages on the go.
iPhone PhoneLINK operation:
- Turn on iPhone hotspot in [Settings], note name and password.
- On the unit, turn on WiFi in [Settings], search for the iPhone hotspot, and connect.
- On the mobile, open Shortcuts, find Airplay - EC - Mirror, and turn on Mirror switch.
Android PhoneLINK: Connect your Android Smartphone via USB data cable to enjoy apps, music, navigation (Google Maps), contacts, and messages on the in-dash radio.
Note: Check phone compatibility before purchase.
Enabling USB Debugging (Android)
Follow these steps on your Android phone:
- Go to Settings.
- About Phone.
- Tap Build Number 6-8 times to activate Developer Options.
- Turn on Developer Options.
- Switch on USB Debugging and confirm.
After enabling, connect the USB cable to the radio and mobile.
Google Play Store
The device is powered by Android and features the Google Play Store for online content like YouTube, web browsing, and internet radio. Access the Play Store via the quick menu icon (?️).
Account Setup: Add your existing Google account or create a new one. Accept Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Note: Play Store service is complimentary and subject to withdrawal without notice.
Browsing the internet
Use the browser option to access the internet. For first-time use, set up a Chrome account. Check emails and websites.
Videos
Click the ▶️ [Video] icon to launch videos from a connected USB drive. Select the video to play.
Pictures
Click the ?️ [Pictures] icon to view saved pictures from USB and other locations (Moments, Dropbox, Google Drive, Picasa). Select 'Folders' to browse.
SWC (Steering wheel control)
Allows up to eight functions to be operated via steering wheel mounted controls. Requires assigning functions to buttons on the SWC. May require an additional interface depending on the vehicle.
To set up SWC:
- Select the SWC icon from the main interface.
- Assign functions to up to 8 placeholders.
- Repeat steps to assign additional functions.
- Assign relevant placeholders to steering wheel buttons.
- Tap 'Begin Learn' to start.
- Press a remote control button for ~1 second to assign the function.
- Use ➡️ to assign the next function, or ⬅️ to go back.
File Explorer
The ? [File Explorer] icon allows browsing device files. The 'Classify' tab helps identify files by type (Apk, Image, Video, Music, etc.).
Clock
Touch the clock icon to display the clock screen. It remains visible until the screen is touched or the device is turned off.
Live Wallpapers
Select dynamic wallpapers by tapping the 'Live wallpapers' icon. Choose your preference from the displayed list.
Wallpapers
Select static wallpapers by tapping the 'Wallpapers' icon. Swipe to explore and preview. Tap [Set wallpaper] to apply.
AUX in
Connect external audio sources via RCA cables to the video input socket and audio RCA's (L+R). Tap the [AUX-IN] icon to enter the interface. Warning: Do not watch video while driving.
Blackout
Tap the [Blackout] tab for a dark screen. Music continues to play, helping concentration while driving at night.

The 'Device Settings' icon provides access to various settings.

WiFi Settings
Switch on the ? option to search and connect to available networks. Enter password if prompted. Click 'connect' for secure connections. Use 'forget' to retry if an error occurs. Connection is automatic for subsequent attempts.
Portable WiFi Hotspot Settings
Create an internet connection for your mobile or co-passengers. Switch on the 'Portable WiFi hotspot' option. Your device's WiFi will disconnect automatically. View connection details, show password, and enter it on your mobile to connect. You can share the password. To change the password, check 'Show Password', touch the password field, choose a new password, and select 'Done'.
Storage info
View available space in the internal storage.
Apps
Access installed and downloaded apps from the Google Play Store.
Adding an account
Add an existing Gmail account or create a new one.
Language input settings
Manage language and keyboard input options.
Date & time settings
- Synchronize date and time with GPS, or set manually.
- Choose between 12-hour or 24-hour time display.
Device information
Details include: Device model number (Costa Mesa 900), Android version (6.0), Memory capacity (1GB/16GB), Storage capacity (16 GB).

Access various settings from the 'System Settings' icon.

Common Settings
Activate/deactivate options like Parking settings, Illumination, Beep settings, Reverse Camera Monitor, and Reverse Audio Mute.
Navigation Software Setting
Select map source, manage navigation audio mixing, and adjust voice guidance volume. Touch 'Navigation mixing' to activate/deactivate. Drag the bar to adjust volume.
Backlight setting
Adjust backlight intensity using the seek bar.
Radio Setting
The current setting is 'EUROPE' region'. Select Radio region button to display available areas and double-click to select. The main menu reappears.
Default Volume Setting
Adjust the startup volume using the seek bar under [Default setting].
Steering Wheel Learning
Manage steering wheel controls (up to 8 functions). Assign desired functions to SWC buttons. May require an additional interface.
FLAC Codec
Supports Free Lossless Audio Codec for uncompressed audio files (via front USB).
Memory Clean
Drag down from the top to access quick options, including [Memory Clean], to delete cache and improve performance.
