D9412GV2 Control Panel

The D9412GV2 Control Panel is a fully integrated solution designed for access control, intrusion detection, and fire alarm system applications. It allows users to interface with a single system instead of managing three separate ones, providing comprehensive security monitoring and control.

Key Features

System Overview

The D9412GV2 Control Panel integrates access control, intrusion, and fire alarm functionalities. It monitors alarm points for intruder or fire events while managing user command centers and other outputs. The panel includes a communicator that sends events to Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) or IP network destinations via four programmable route groups. System functions can be programmed on-site using a D5200 Programmer or remotely via Remote Programming Software (RPS). It supports up to eight doors of access control with the optional D9210BLC Access Control Interface Module and offers up to 246 individually identified points, each supporting normally-open (NO) and normally-closed (NC) devices with end-of-line (EOL) resistor supervision. Points can be programmed for fire, fire supervisory, or intrusion applications.

User Interface

The system supervises up to eight command centers (or up to 32 unsupervised command centers). It features custom command center text and a full function command menu with custom options. Each user is assigned authority by area and a 16-character name. Fourteen custom authority levels control user permissions for changing passcodes or access control credentials, disarming, bypassing points, and starting system tests. The brightness and volume for the command center display or sounder are adjustable. A command center is required in each system.

Area Configurations

Area programming offers a wide selection of system configurations. Each area can be assigned an account number to define annunciation, control, and reporting functions. Multiple areas can be linked to an automatically controlled shared area, such as a hallway or lobby. Area arming can be conditional on other areas (master and associate).

Advanced Security Features

Two Man Rule

Requires two unique passcodes entered at the same command center to disarm an area. Without the second passcode, entry is denied. This feature ensures the presence of two people at opening for added security, particularly in financial institutions.

Early Ambush

Requires two passcode entries on the same command center. The first entry disarms the area, and the second entry stops a timer programmed to send a duress event. If the second entry is not made within the programmed time, a duress event is generated. This allows users to inspect premises safely before full system disarming.

Easy Exit Control

Allows the D9412GV2 Control Panel to change from one armed state to another without disarming, simplifying operation and reducing keystrokes. For example, changing from Master Arm to Perimeter Arm is handled seamlessly.

Passcode-controlled Menu List

Users must enter a passcode before viewing the command center menu. The display shows only menu options permitted by the user's authority level, simplifying operation by presenting relevant information and functions.

Passcode Follows Scope

Restricts passcode arming and disarming to the command center's immediate local area, even if the command center can report events from other areas. This simplifies arming/disarming without limiting other command center capabilities.

Invisible Walk Test

A menu item enables testing of invisible 24-hour points within the command center's scope without sending reports to the central station.

Door Activated Custom Function

A custom function is activated when user credentials are presented to a D9210B door controller's reader. This function mimics a manual operation performed at the command center associated with that door controller.

Passcodes

User passcodes consist of three to six digits. Each user can be assigned one of fourteen customized authority levels per area. Passcodes can be restricted to operate only during specific times. The Two Man Rule and Early Ambush options require two passcodes, enhancing security in sensitive environments like banks.

Communications

The D9412GV2 Control Panel prioritizes and sends reports to four route groups, each with a programmable primary and backup destination. It integrates with the D6600 NetCom Communications System via a DX4020 Network Interface Module, offering programmable anti-replay and anti-substitution features. The Modem IIIa2 Communications Format, compatible with Bosch receivers, provides advanced reporting capabilities, including individual point numbers and text, opening/closing reports by area, remote programming attempts, diagnostic reports, and user name transmission to the central station.

Security and Fire Detection

The control panel includes eight on-board points and supports up to 238 additional off-board points (depending on model and expansion interfaces). Individual points can be programmed to monitor various alarm types, including burglar alarms, fire alarms, and supervision devices.

Event Log

The event log stores up to 1,000 local and transmitted events, including time, date, event type, area, point, and user number. The log can be viewed from select command centers or retrieved remotely using RPS. RPS operators can collect events periodically with a single call. An optional report can be sent to a receiver when the event log reaches a programmed threshold.

Access Control

The D9412GV2 provides custom door strike, point shunt, and auto disarming responses by area. It features 14 panel-wide access levels with manual and scheduled control. Access events such as 'Access granted', 'No entry', 'Request-to-enter', and 'Request-to-exit' can be stored, viewed, or printed.

Scheduled Events (Skeds)

The internal clock and calendar enable scheduled events (skeds) to perform functions like arming/disarming, relay control, or point bypassing. The D9412GV2 Control Panel supports up to 40 scheduled events with 25 different functions, eight opening windows, eight closing windows, eight user windows, and day-of-week, date-of-month, or holiday-only schedules. It includes four holiday schedules covering 366 days each.

Fire Test

Activating Fire Test Mode suppresses all reports to the central station, while the command center and annunciator display all testing data. An automatic sensor reset feature simplifies testing by eliminating manual resets. At the end of the test, the command center indicates the number of untested points.

Programming, Diagnostics and Controls

Users can program the system on-site using a D5200 Programmer or remotely via RPS. A programmable system passcode prevents unauthorized remote programming. The D9412GV2 Control Panels accommodate up to four separate telephone numbers for primary, alternate, and backup receivers for automatic test reports. System resets, arming, and disarming actions identify the user by name and number.
