JL-SBAR Sound Bar Installation Wiring Kit for Jeep

This is a cable kit designed to simplify the installation of the DS18 JL-SBAR soundbar on Jeep JL, JLU, and JT models. It is intended for users upgrading their sound system by adding an amplifier and an optional light module. The wiring kit provides all necessary connections to integrate the soundbar with the Jeep, including connections for the ceiling courtesy lamp, four speakers, and four RGB lighting tweeters.

ATTENTION: Only works for Non-Amplified factory sound systems.

What You Will Need

• Any 4/5/6 Channels Amplifier.
• LED RGB Control module (LED-BTC).
• DS18 JL-SBAR Sound bar for Jeep JL / JLU / JT.
• 4 x 8" Speakers (NXL-8 recommended).
• 4 x 1.75" Tweeters (PRO-TW4L recommended).

Important Safety Information

ATTENTION: The installation of mobile audio and video components requires experience with various mechanical and electrical procedures. ATTENTION: Before starting installation, disconnect the negative (Ground) terminal of the battery. This measure helps prevent potential issues such as airbag coding errors, module malfunctions, or other electrical problems.

Amplifier Side Installation

This section details the connections required on the amplifier side of the installation.

RGB LED Lights: Connect the RGB LED lights from the soundbar to the LED-BTC module (sold separately). The harness also connects to the roof for the soundbar. The speaker harness connects to the amplifier, with specific wire color codes for each channel (e.g., White for CH1+, White/Black for CH1-).

Connecting without LED Control Module (LED-BTC): If the LED-BTC module is not used, follow these connections:

• Black wire ("BK") connects to the battery Positive (+) 12V.
• White Light ("R", "B", and "G") connect to the battery Negative (-).
• Green Light ("G") connects to the battery Negative (-).
• Red Light ("R") connects to the battery Negative (-).
• Blue Light ("B") connects to the battery Negative (-).
• Purple Light ("R" and "B") connect to the battery Negative (-).
• Yellow Light ("R" and "G") connect to the battery Negative (-).
• Cyan Light ("B" and "G") connect to the battery Negative (-).

Soundbar Side Installation

This section outlines the connections on the soundbar side.

RGB LED Lighting: Connect the RGB LED light wire to each RGB LED lighting component, including speakers, rings, grills, tweeters, and the DS18 Badge used for the soundbar.

12-pin Harness Connector: This connector links to the DS18 roof harness, originating from the amplifier side.

Speaker Connections:

• Speaker 1: Connect using Green (+) and Green/Black (-).
• Speaker 2: Connect using White (+) and White/Black (-).
• Speaker 3: Connect using Gray (+) and Gray/Black (-).
• Speaker 4: Connect using Violet (+) and Violet/Black (-).

Tweeter Connections: Connect to each tweeter using Gray (+) and Gray/Black (-).

Final Steps

Upon completing the JL-SBARHARNESS installation, you are ready to proceed with installing the rest of your system components. For more detailed procedures, consult the specific installation manuals for your Soundbar and amplifier.
