Product Overview

The DS18 JL24-SBAR22LD is a loaded Jeep overhead sound bar designed for select 2024 Jeep JL, JLU, and JT models. It features two 8" 8PRO300MB-4 speakers and two 3.8" PRO-TWX1/BK tweeters, providing a powerful audio experience. The sound bar is constructed from high-density plastic, molded with color injection (available in Black, Red, or White), and is UV protected for durability in various environments. It also includes digital LED lighting for enhanced aesthetics.

The design ensures OEM fitment using factory bolts and locations, requiring no modifications or cutting. A plug-and-play wire harness kit with factory-style connectors and terminals is included for easy installation.

Installation Instructions

General Safety Precautions:

• Installation of mobile audio and video components requires experience with mechanical and electrical procedures. Consult an authorized dealer if you lack the necessary knowledge.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting to avoid airbag malfunctions or electrical issues.

Disassembly Steps:

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove driver and passenger front roof panels per the vehicle's owner manual. (Diagram shows disconnecting battery and removing roof panels)
2. Remove five T25 Torx screws from the front of the middle ROPs (Removable Overhead Panels) cover. (Diagram shows location of T25 screws on the roof panel)
3. Carefully unclip the middle ROPs cover from the OEM soundbar and remove it from the vehicle. (Diagram shows unclipping the center roof panel cover)
4. Unclip the two panels on the b-pillar sill panel. Then remove the b-pillar sill panel. (Diagrams 4 & 5 show unclipping and removing b-pillar panels)
5. Disconnect the OEM wiring connector from the OEM soundbar. (Diagram 6 shows disconnecting the OEM wiring harness)
6. Remove three bolts with a 10mm socket on the passenger side. Repeat on the driver side. Then remove the soundbar from the vehicle. (Diagram 7 shows removing 10mm bolts on the passenger side)
   Note: Additional help is recommended for this step.
7. Remove the five 4mm Allen head screws from the OEM Soundbar to access the LED dome-light module. Repeat on the other side. (Diagram 8 shows removing 4mm Allen screws to access LED module)
8. Unclip the LED dome-light module harness. Remove the two T20 Torx screws that hold the LED dome-light module. Repeat on the other side. (Diagram 9 shows unclipping harness and removing T20 Torx screws from LED module)
9. Remove the five 4mm screws to access the LED panel on the soundbar. Make sure to do this on both sides. (Diagram 10 shows removing 4mm screws from the LED panel)
10. Place the LED dome-light module face down on the back panel of the grill and secure with the two T20 Torx screws. Connect the LED light harness. Reinstall the grill on the sound bar and replace the five 4mm screws as shown in image (10). Do this for both sides. (Diagram 11 shows installing the LED module and reattaching the grill)
11. Install the DS18 Soundbar using the bolts from the previous step. Loosely install three bolts on the passenger side and repeat on the driver's side. Once all six bolts are installed, tighten them with a 10mm socket. (Diagram 12 shows installing the soundbar with 10mm bolts)
    Note: Some help is needed.
12. With the DRM RGB cable secured down the B-pillar, route the cable toward your LC-DRM (optional), making the appropriate wiring connections. (Diagram 13 shows routing the DRM RGB cable)
13. After ensuring everything is checked, functional, and tightened, repeat steps 1-7 in reverse order to reassemble your vehicle. The final step is turning it up and becoming a part of the We Like It LOUD Crew.

Installation Placement

The sound bar is designed to be mounted overhead in Jeep JL/JLU/JT vehicles.

Wiring for Jeep

This cable is designed to facilitate the installation of your JL24-SBAR22LD on your JEEP JL / JLU / JT when upgrading your sound system. The wiring includes the OEM Connector and Optional DRM RGB cable for seamlessly integrating to your OEM stereo, adding Digital RGB lights into your system.

Wiring Diagram Description:

The diagram shows connections for the Digital LED Module (LC-DRM, sold separately). It illustrates routing the DRM RGB cable from the LED module to the soundbar's RGB cable. Color-coded wires are shown:

• Red (+12V) / Rojo (+12V)
• Orange ACC (+) / Naranja ACC (+)
• Black GROUND (-) / Negro (-)
• Red LED +12V / Rojo LED +12V
• White LED DATA / Blanco LED DATA
• Black LED GND / Negro LED GND

Connections are made to the 12V Accessory Switch and the Battery.

The BT Digital LED Control Module (LC-DRM) is compatible with the DS18 LC APP, available for Android and iPhone. (Text indicates "Download the DS18 LC APP" with logos)
