IR 2.0 Infrared Sensor Overview
The IR 2.0 is an infrared sensor designed for controlling single-colour LED luminaires operating at 12VDC (max 36W) and 24VDC (max 72W). It is factory-set in one of two modes: 'limit-switch' mode (IR 2.0 FC) for installation behind cabinet doors, or 'sensor-dimmer switch' mode (IR 2.0 SD) for under-cabinet installation.
A setup button allows users to change the function between FC and SD modes at any time. The IR 2.0 can be installed recessed into a Ø14mm hole or surface-mounted using the provided adhesive sticker.
In limit-switch mode (IR 2.0 FC), the sensor instantly activates the connected luminaires by switching them ON and OFF as the door it is installed behind opens and closes.
In sensor-dimmer switch mode (IR 2.0 SD), quick hand movements in front of the sensor control the switching ON/Off of the luminaires. Holding a hand steadily in front of the sensor allows for brightness adjustment (10-100%).
The device includes a 2500mm power cable with a Micro12 male connector, a 2500mm output cable with a Micro12 female connector, and a 9-slot Micro12 female distributor. For use with 24VDC single-colour LED devices, a wiring adapter set is provided to configure the device with the Micro24 connection system. Power supply is sold separately.
Key Features:
- Automatic ON/OFF switching for LED luminaires.
- Selectable Limit-Switch (FC) or Sensor-Dimmer (SD) modes.
- Adjustable brightness (10-100%) in SD mode.
- Installation flexibility: recessed or surface-mounted.
- Includes necessary cables and distributor.
Installation Notes:
IR 2.0 FC: For optimal operation, the sensor must be installed at least 1mm away from the door panel. Avoid installation near heat sources or electromagnetic fields that could interfere with its function. A preliminary test before installation is recommended.
IR 2.0 SD: Activation for ON/Off is via quick hand movements (max. 50mm distance). Brightness adjustment is maintained by keeping a hand steady. The sensor integrates an automatic switch-off function after approximately 18 hours of continuous operation.
Adapter Wiring Set: The 2x IR 2.0 adapter wiring set (sold separately) enables a system with two sensors to control a luminaire or set of luminaires in a shared mode. For example, two IR 2.0 FC sensors can be used in a wardrobe with double hinged doors, ensuring the light turns ON when either door is opened and OFF only when both doors are closed.
Mode Change: The factory-set mode of the IR 2.0 can be changed from FC to SD (or vice versa) at any time by pressing the setup button located on the back surface. Refer to the instruction manual for detailed guidance.
Initial Setup: Upon first power-up, the IR 2.0 performs a sensitivity self-test, which is saved. Any change in installation requires the luminaire to be reset by cutting the power for at least 10 seconds. Caution: Do not connect the IR 2.0 power unit to a mains electrical circuit switch, as this could unintentionally trigger the self-test function.

IR 3.0 FC Infrared Sensor Overview
The IR 3.0 FC is an infrared 'limit-switch' sensor designed for controlling single-colour LED devices operating at 12VDC (max 36W) and 24VDC (max 72W). It is recommended for installation behind cabinet doors and can be recessed into a Ø14mm hole.
The IR 3.0 FC activates instant switching ON/Off of connected luminaires by opening and closing the door on the back of which the sensor is installed. It features an enhanced detection signal, making it particularly suitable for installation behind doors with low-reflective surfaces.
The appliance is supplied with a 2500mm power cable and Micro24 male connector, a 2500mm output cable and Micro24 female connector, and a distributor with 10 Micro24 female slots. To use the IR 3.0 FC for controlling single-colour LED luminaires at 12VDC (max 36W), an adapter cable set (sold separately) is available to configure the luminaire with the Micro12 connection system. Power supply is not included and must be ordered separately.
Installation Notes:
The detection range (max. approximately 300mm) varies depending on the finish and reflectivity of the door surface. For proper operation, the sensor must be installed at least 2mm away from the door panel. A preliminary test before installation is advisable. Avoid using the IR 3.0 FC near heat sources or electromagnetic fields, which could alter or compromise its functioning.
The IR 3.0 FC integrates an automatic switch-off function that activates after approximately 18 hours of continuous operation.
Adapter Wiring Set: The 2x IR 3.0 adapter wiring set (sold separately) allows for a system with two sensors to control a luminaire or set of luminaires in a shared mode. For example, two IR 3.0 FC sensors can be installed inside a wardrobe with double hinged doors, enabling the light to turn ON when either door is opened, and to turn OFF only when both doors are closed.
Initial Setup: Upon first power-up, the IR 3.0 performs a sensitivity self-test, which is saved. Any change in installation requires the luminaire to be reset by cutting the power for at least 10 seconds. Caution: Do not connect the IR 3.0 power unit to a mains electrical circuit switch, as this could unintentionally trigger the self-test function.

IR 4.0 Infrared Sensor Overview
The IR 4.0 is an infrared sensor for controlling single-colour LED luminaires at 12VDC (max 36W) and 24VDC (max 72W). It is factory-set in either 'limit-switch' mode (IR 4.0 FC) for installation behind a cabinet door, or 'sensor-dimmer switch' mode (IR 4.0 SD) for under-cabinet installation.
A setup button allows the function of both models to be changed at any time, from FC to SD and vice versa. The IR 4.0 can be recessed into a Ø10mm hole.
In limit-switch mode (IR 4.0 FC), the sensor activates soft switching ON and Off of the luminaires connected to the output cable by opening and closing the door on the back of which the sensor is installed.
In sensor-dimmer switch mode (IR 4.0 SD), quick hand movements in front of the sensor control the switching ON/Off (always in soft mode). Holding a hand steadily in front of the sensor adjusts the brightness (10-100%).
The device is supplied with a 2500mm power cable and Micro24 male connector, a 2500mm output cable and Micro24 female connector, and a distributor with 10 Micro24 female slots. To use the IR 4.0 for controlling single-colour LED luminaires at 12VDC (max 36W), an adapter cable set is available that configures the luminaire with the Micro12 connection system. Power supply is not included and must be ordered separately.
Installation Notes:
IR 4.0 FC: Activates soft-on and soft-off switching with a maximum fade time of 2.5 seconds when the door opens or closes. The detection range (max. approximately 250mm) varies by surface reflectivity. It can also be installed flush with the door without compromising functionality. A preliminary test before installation is advisable. Avoid using the IR 4.0 near heat sources or electromagnetic fields.
IR 4.0 SD: Switches ON/Off and adjusts brightness (10-100%) with soft-on/soft-off mode and a fade time of up to 1 second. Activation is via quick hand movements (max. 50mm distance). Brightness adjustment is stored in memory. Integrates an automatic switch-off function after approximately 18 hours of continuous operation.
Mode Change: The factory-set mode of the IR 4.0 can be changed from FC to SD (or vice versa) at any time by pressing the setup button located on the back surface. Refer to the instruction manual for detailed guidance.
Initial Setup: Upon first power-up, the IR 4.0 performs a sensitivity self-test, which is saved. Any change in installation requires the luminaire to be reset by cutting the power for at least 10 seconds. Caution: Do not connect the IR 4.0 power unit to a mains electrical circuit switch, as this could unintentionally trigger the self-test function.
