1. The Basics
Doorbell Components
The EKEN Video Doorbell V7 features several key components:

Mounting Bracket
The mounting bracket is designed for wall installation and includes:
- Dimensions: 2.56 inches (65mm) width, 5.04 inches (128mm) height, 3.31 inches (84mm) depth.

2. Battery
Charging: The doorbell charges via its micro USB port ? using a 1A USB charger (not included). Charging time is approximately 14 hours.
Battery Life: With normal usage, the batteries are expected to last between 4 to 6 months, or approximately 1,200 notification events.
Event Impact: If your device captures an excessive number of events daily, you may need to recharge the battery sooner. The battery is also drained each time you use the Live View feature to look or speak through your doorbell. To prevent excessive events, adjust your motion settings to a lower sensitivity.
⚠️ WARNING: Be sure to insert 18650 batteries in the correct direction. Inserting batteries incorrectly will cause permanent damage.

3. Set up your video doorbell in the LiveHome APP
Step 1: Download the App
Download the LiveHome app. The app will guide you through setting up and remotely controlling your Doorbell. Search for "LiveHome" on the Apple App Store (?) or Google Play (?).

Step 2: Prepare the Doorbell
Open the battery cover and pull out the insulation tabs [Pull Out Tab] before use.

Step 3: Sign Up for LiveHome Account
Open the LiveHome app on your cellphone. Tap "Log in/Sign up", then tap "Sign Up".
Enter your email address and password, then tap "Sign Up".
You will receive an email with a confirmation code [Email Confirmation]. Enter the code and tap "Confirm". You can tap "Resend" to get another code.

Step 4: Log In and Add Device
Enter your email and password, then tap "Log In".
On the home page, tap the "➕" icon to add a new device.
Tap "Doorbell Scan" and select "Video doorbell".
Press and hold the doorbell button for 8 seconds until the doorbell light flashes red. Tap "Next" ▶️.

Step 5: Connect to Wi-Fi
Tap "Yes" ✔️ to confirm the red light is flashing.
Name your doorbell. Find your Wi-Fi network name and enter the Wi-Fi password. Tap "Next" ▶️. (Note: This device only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi).
Scan the QR code using the doorbell camera. Keep devices 4 inches (10 cm) ↔️ apart.
If pairing is successful, you will see a "Signup successful" message. Tap "Confirm".

NOTICE: Push Notifications
Ensure push notifications are enabled on your phone for the LiveHome app. Navigate to your phone's Settings -> Notifications -> ON. Select LiveHome from the list of apps and choose your preferred notification options.

The Live View interface provides access to various functions:

5. Install Your Video Doorbell On The Wall
Installation Steps:
- Mark 4 drill holes on the wall where you want to mount the doorbell.
- Use a drill bit to create holes and insert the provided anchors.
- Mount the doorbell bracket onto the wall, securing it with the mounting screws ?.
- Attach the doorbell unit to the bracket and tighten the security screw ?.

6. Troubleshooting
- Q: How long do my videos stay in my account?
- A: Your videos are stored in the Free Cloud for up to 7 days.
- Q: How do I RESTART the doorbell?
- A: Press and hold the RESET Button ⚙️ for 5 seconds.
- Q: How do I SET UP the doorbell again?
- A: Press and hold the Doorbell Button ? for 8 seconds. Then follow the in-app instructions to finish your Wi-Fi setup.
- Q: How do I share the video doorbell with my family?
- A: Open the LiveHome app. From the home page, tap the Share icon. Choose "Email share" or "QR code share".

- Email share: The shared user receives an email with a QR code. Scan it to download the LiveHome app. The user must register an account (using the same email address) and log in to see the shared doorbell.
- QR code share: On a new user's cellphone, open the LiveHome App, tap "+", then "Scan QR code" and scan the generated QR code. You will see "Share successfed", then tap "Confirm".
- Q: How do I adjust PIR motion detection sensitivity?
- A: 1. From the home page, tap the settings icon ⚙️. 2. Tap "motion".

- PIR Motion Detection Sensitivity:
- High: Records and notifies about every motion. Shortest battery life.
- Medium: Records and notifies about motion less often. Standard battery life.
- Low: Records and notifies about motion even less often. Maximum battery life.
- Q: How many users can view the video at the same time?
- A: Up to 3 users can view the video feed, but only 1 user can use the direct intercom. Both iOS and Android are compatible.
- Q: Is 5GHz WiFi supported?
- A: No. Only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is supported.
- Q: Why is my Wi-Fi signal poor on my doorbell?
- A: The doorbell might be too far from your wireless router, or obstructions may be reducing signal strength. Try repositioning your router or using a signal extender/repeater.
Wireless Chime (Optional) ?
Connect the video doorbell to the chime for instant alerts in your home when someone rings the doorbell. Hear the chime without checking the app. The chime plugs into any wall outlet and can be placed anywhere.
NOTICE: The video doorbell is compatible only with EKEN's wireless chime, not traditional doorbell chimes. If the chime is not installed, doorbell notifications will still go directly to the LiveHome app.

Getting Started (Wireless Chime)
Step 1: Before setup, ensure your video doorbell is connected to your phone and plug in your chime.
Step 2: Press the Tune ? button to cycle through 52 different tunes and select a tune.
Step 3: Press and hold the Volume ? button for 5 seconds until the blue indicator ? is ON.
Step 4: Press the doorbell button ?.
Step 5: Press the doorbell button ? again; the chime will automatically play the selected tune ♫.
