Device Overview

This section describes the physical components of the Blackview WAVE 8 Series smartphone.

Front View

The front of the device features:

  • Receiver: Located at the top, used for audio during calls.
  • Front Camera: Positioned at the top, for selfies and video calls.
  • Screen: The main display area.

At the bottom edge, you will find:

  • Headphone Jack: For connecting wired headphones.
  • Microphone: Captures audio for calls and recordings.
  • Speaker: Outputs audio.
  • Charger/Type-C Port: For charging the device and data transfer.

Side and Back View

The sides and back of the device include:

  • Side 1: Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons.
  • Back: Features the Camera module, which includes a Flashlight.
  • Side 2: Power Key, which also functions as the Fingerprint Scanner.
  • TF/SIM Card: Slot for memory cards and SIM cards.

Getting Started

1. How to Insert the Card

To ensure your smartphone can make calls, insert the SIM card as follows:

  • Press the card pin into the side hole to eject the card tray. Pull out the tray.
  • Place the Nano SIM card or Nano SIM card and TF card into the card slot with the metal side facing down.
  • Align the bevel angle of the card with the bevel angle of the card slot and place it in the corresponding slot.
  • Insert the card holder back into the phone following the direction of the arrow.

2. How to Boot

For devices with a non-removable battery, press the power button for 3-5 seconds to boot the device.

3. How to Send SMS, MMS

SMS

  • Open the SMS app.
  • Select 'New Information'.
  • Enter a phone number or browse your contacts.
  • Select 'Edit Information' and enter your text.
  • Press the send icon [▶️].

MMS - Video

  • When writing a text message, select images, videos, or other files you wish to add.
  • You can also take a new picture or video directly.
  • Proceed with selecting or sending [▶️].

4. Language Switching Settings

  • Navigate to Main Menu > Settings > System > Language and input method.
  • Select 'Language and input method' > 'Language' > 'Language adding'.
  • Choose your desired language. The system will automatically switch to the selected language interface.
  • To set it as primary, select the language icon after the language bar and drag it to the first position [⚙️].

5. SAR (Specific Absorption Rate)

The maximum electromagnetic radiation absorption ratio (SAR) for this product is ≤2.0W/kg.

This complies with the requirements of the national standard GB 21288-2007.

CE Marking: CE

The device is restricted to indoor use only when operating in the 5150 to 5250MHz frequency range.

RF Exposure Statement

SAR tests were conducted according to CE standards with the device transmitting at its highest certified power level. While SAR is determined at the highest certified power level, the actual SAR level during operation can be below the maximum value.

This product has been tested and meets CE RF exposure guidelines with test distances of 0mm for head & limbs and 5mm for body worn. The maximum SAR values reported are 0.687W/kg for head, 1.297W/kg for body worn, and 1.913W/kg for limbs.

The use of belt clips, holsters, and similar accessories should not involve metallic components. Accessories not meeting these requirements may not comply with CE exposure regulations and should be avoided.
