Product Overview

The basicDIM Wireless Passive Module G2 is a Bluetooth® DALI controller featuring 4 freely configurable push-button inputs. The module is powered directly by the DALI bus, eliminating the need for an additional mains power supply.

The module can be wired in several configurations:

Wiring with External Power Supply (PS)

This diagram shows connections from a 220-240V AC mains supply (L, N) and a DALI power supply (DA, DA, NL, COM) to the basicDIM Wireless Passive Module G2. The module provides terminals for DALI output (DA/N, DA/L), push-button inputs (Isel1, Isel2, GND), and connections to an LED driver (PRI, SEC, ~R~, Isel1, Isel2 (GND)).

Wiring with Integrated DALI Power Supply (PS)

In this setup, the DALI power supply is integrated within the module. Connections are made from a 220-240V AC mains supply (L, N) to the module. The module then provides DALI outputs (DA/N, DA/L) and push-button inputs (Isel1, Isel2, GND) for connection to an LED driver.

Wiring with DALI MSensor and DALI Power Supply (PS)

This configuration involves connecting the 220-240V AC mains supply (L, N) to the module, DALI PS, and a DALI MSensor. The module offers DALI outputs (DA/N, DA/L) and push-button inputs (Isel1, Isel2, GND) for connection to an LED driver.

Wire Gauge Recommendations:

• Mains supply / DALI wires: 0.2 - 1.5 mm² (16-24 AWG)
• Push-button input wires: 0.14 - 0.5 mm² (20-25 AWG)

Wire Stripping: Strip wire 8.5 - 9.5 mm from the end.

Technical Data

Note on Addresses: Assignment of max. 4 single/group addresses, depending on the device profile. Screw fixings can be removed.

Antenna Location: The antenna is located on the top of the device.

Compatible with all Android 4.4 (KitKat) or later, iPhone 4S (iOS 5.0) or later, and iPad 3 (iOS 5.1) or later.
