No, simultaneous use of Thread and Zigbee is not supported. By default, the bulb is set to the Thread protocol (Matter). If you wish to switch to Zigbee mode, follow the setup instructions in the app and select the protocol during connection.
Can the Protocol be Switched After Connection?
Yes, it is possible. However, this requires the following steps:
- Remove the device from the app.

Note: Switching protocols will reset the bulb to its initial state, erasing all previous settings.
How to Reset / Initialize Aqara LED Bulb T2
1. Reset Method (Initialize Pairing Information):
- Turn the power switch on and off 5 times consecutively (on-off counts as one cycle).
- The light will blink twice quickly and then remain steadily lit, indicating a successful reset.

Can Aqara LED Bulb T2 Be Used Without Network Connection?
Yes, the Aqara LED Bulb T2 can function as a regular light bulb when not connected to a network. However, app-based control and smart home integrations require a prior network connection.
Suitable Lighting Fixtures and Usage Scenarios for Aqara LED Bulb T2
The E26 / E27 / GU10 types are suitable for various lighting fixtures, including:
- Desk lamps
- Floor lamps
- Wall-mounted lights
- Downlights
- Ceiling lights
The GU10 type, due to its smaller size and narrower beam angle, is particularly well-suited for accent lighting and small fixtures.
Environment Not Recommended for Use:
- Fully enclosed light fixtures
- Outdoor use
- Dimmers with traditional knobs (knob-style switches)
Using the bulb in fully enclosed fixtures may cause overheating, potentially triggering the temperature protection function. It is recommended to use the bulb in open fixtures with good ventilation, away from other heat sources.
The bulb is not waterproof and should only be used in dry indoor environments.
Does it Support Dimmable Switches with Knobs?
No, it does not. The Aqara LED Bulb T2 is not compatible with traditional dimmable switches. Its operation is based on a different principle than incandescent or halogen bulbs, and using it with such switches may lead to malfunctions, flickering, or damage. For smart functionality, standard on/off switches or smart controllers are recommended.
