Product Introduction

The Aqara LED Bulb T2 is a smart bulb offering dual-protocol versatility, seamlessly connecting with both Zigbee and Thread to meet diverse user needs. In Zigbee mode, it provides exclusive Aqara functionalities and compatibility with Aqara hub-based content. In the latest Thread mode, it integrates directly with Matter-enabled ecosystems, including Apple Home, Google Home, and Alexa, ensuring stable connectivity and low latency.

Note: Using Zigbee on Aqara Home requires a compatible Aqara Hub. Using Matter connectivity requires a border router as a platform hub.

Device Installation

Components:

• Bulb Casing
• Bulb Shell
• E27 Fixture Base

1. Before installing the bulb, ensure the main power is turned off or the power to the lighting fixture where the bulb will be installed is switched off. [Power Off Symbol]
2. Hold the bulb and align its base with the socket. Rotate the bulb clockwise to secure it. After installation, check the stability of the fixture to ensure it is firm and will not tilt.
3. Once power is restored or the fixture is turned on, the bulb will complete two breathing cycles (gradual brightening and dimming) and then remain at constant brightness, indicating it has automatically entered pairing mode. [Power On Symbol]

Device Binding and Initialization

For Matter Ecosystems (Thread Mode):

To use the device with a specific Matter ecosystem (Thread mode), a Matter controller and a Thread border router for that ecosystem are required:

1. Turn on the bulb. It will complete two breathing cycles (gradual brightening and dimming) and remain at constant brightness, indicating it has automatically entered pairing mode.
2. Open a Matter-compatible app, scan the Matter code on the manual or product, or enter the setup code to add the device to the app.
3. Follow the instructions in the app.

For Aqara Home (Thread Mode):

To use the device in Aqara Home (Thread mode), an Aqara Hub with border router functionality (e.g., Hub M3) is required:

1. Turn on the bulb. It will complete two breathing cycles (gradual brightening and dimming) and remain at constant brightness, indicating it has automatically entered pairing mode.
2. In the Aqara Home app, tap 'Add Accessory' and select 'LED Bulb T2'.
3. Bring your phone close to the device; the bulb should appear in the 'Discover' section of the app. If the device is not found, scan the Matter code on the manual or product, or enter the setup code to add the device to the app.
4. Follow the instructions in the app.

For Aqara Home (Zigbee Mode):

To use the device in Aqara Home (Zigbee mode), an Aqara Hub is required:

1. Turn on the bulb. It will complete two breathing cycles (gradual brightening and dimming) and remain at constant brightness, indicating it has automatically entered pairing mode.
2. In the Aqara Home app, tap 'Add Accessory', and bring your phone close to the device. The LED Bulb T2 should appear in the 'Discover' section of the app. If the device is not found, scan the Matter code on the manual or product, or enter the setup code to add the device to the app. Then tap 'Switch Protocol' and select 'Zigbee Protocol'. Note that the device defaults to the Thread protocol, and switching to Zigbee may take a few minutes.
3. Follow the instructions in the app.

How to Switch Protocols

To switch protocols, you can remove the device in the Aqara Home app or reset the device by switching it on and off five times. Then, repeat the pairing process. On the device pairing screen, tap 'Switch Protocol' and select the desired protocol. Follow the app's instructions to complete the setup.

Note: Switching protocols is equivalent to a factory reset and will clear all settings and data.
