⚠️ Sharp objects and abrasive cleaning agents will damage the appliance. Clean after each use with water and dish soap, removing all residues.

Removing Residues and Stubborn Stains

Remove residues from sugar, plastics, or aluminium foil immediately. A scraper (not supplied) is best for cleaning the glass surface. Hold the scraper at an angle and slide it to remove stubborn dirt. Clean with a damp cloth and dish soap, then dry with a clean cloth.

IKEA Guarantee

How long is the IKEA guarantee valid?

The guarantee is valid for 5 years from the original purchase date from IKEA. The sales receipt is required as proof of purchase. Service work under guarantee does not extend the guarantee period.

Who will execute the service?

IKEA service providers will perform service through their own operations or authorised partner networks.

What does this guarantee cover?

The guarantee covers manufacturing or material faults from the purchase date. It applies to domestic use only. Exceptions are listed under "What is not covered". Costs for repairs, parts, labour, and travel are covered if the appliance is accessible for repair without special expenditure, provided the fault is covered by the guarantee. EU guidelines and local regulations apply. Replaced parts become IKEA property.

What will IKEA do to correct the problem?

IKEA's appointed service provider will examine the product and, at their discretion, determine if the fault is covered. If covered, they will repair or replace the defective product with an equivalent or comparable one.

What is not covered under this guarantee?

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Deliberate or negligent damage, damage from failure to follow instructions, incorrect installation, wrong voltage connection, chemical/electrochemical reactions, rust, corrosion, water damage (including excessive limescale or abnormal environmental conditions).
  • Consumable parts (batteries, lamps).
  • Non-functional and decorative parts that do not affect normal use, including scratches and colour variations.
  • Accidental damage from foreign objects, cleaning/unblocking filters, drainage systems, or soap drawers.
  • Damage to: ceramic glass, accessories, baskets, feed/drainage pipes, seals, lamps, screens, knobs, casings, unless proven to be manufacturing faults.
  • Cases where no fault is found by a technician.
  • Repairs not performed by designated service providers or using non-original parts.
  • Repairs due to faulty or non-compliant installation.
  • Use in a non-domestic (e.g., professional) environment.
  • Transportation damage if the customer transports the product themselves. IKEA covers damage during delivery to the customer's address.
  • Initial installation costs. However, if IKEA service performs a repair/replacement under guarantee, they will re-install the appliance.

This restriction does not apply to fault-free work by a qualified specialist using original parts to adapt the appliance to other EU countries' safety specifications.

How country law applies

The IKEA guarantee grants specific legal rights that may exceed local demands, without limiting consumer rights under local legislation.

Area of validity

For appliances purchased in one EU country and moved to another, services will be provided under the guarantee conditions of the new country, provided the appliance complies with its technical specifications and installation instructions.
