Description
The Expert Electronics PX-1 and PX-1 Connect are advanced audio processors offering a range of features:
- 2 signal inputs
- 4 independent outputs

- Channel routing
- Input equalizer with 10 bands spaced in ¼ octave
- Parametric equalizer with 1 independent band per channel
- Crossover with Butterworth, Linkwitz-Riley and Expert type filters with attenuations from 6 to 48dB/8°
- Independent delay per channel
- Limiter with configurable Threshold, Attack and Release
- Peak limiter with Threshold adjustment
- Polarity inversion
- Input gain
- Independent mute function per channel
- Frequency and sweep generator
- User password (available only for Connect Line model)
- 3 100% configurable memories
- Independent gain per channel
- Remote output with 300 mA
- Power tolerance of 9 to 16 Vdc
- Bluetooth communication interface (available only for Connect Line model)

Functional Diagram
The functional diagram illustrates the signal processing path. Input signals, labeled IN L and IN R (maximum 4 Vpp), first pass through an Equalizer (EQ) with adjustable gain (-12dB to +12dB). The signal then proceeds through Routing, Mute, Channel EQ, Crossover, Limiter, Peak Limiter, Gain, Phase (0° or 180°), and Delay stages. These stages are applied independently to each of the four output channels (CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4). Each channel can be configured for stereo (L/R) or summed mono (L+R) routing. The processed signals are then sent to the outputs (OUT 1, OUT 2, OUT 3, OUT 4), with a maximum output level of 10 Vpp.
Description of Elements
The front panel features:
- (1) LCD display: For configuration and monitoring.
- (2) Rotary encoder: Responsible for parameter selection and changes.
- (3) Keys: Used to select the channel to be configured. Can be used within any menu. On the home screen, they change the selected channel.
- (4) ESC button: Used to go back to the previous parameter or menu.
The rear panel connections include:
- (5) Processor output channels: Connect to the amplifiers.
- (6) Input sensitivity adjustment: Range from 2 to 6 Vrms.
- (7) Signal inputs: Must be connected to the output of the player or mixer.
- (8) Power connector: Requires a 12Vdc supply. The REM IN terminal must be connected to the player's remote output, and the REM OUT terminal sends the remote signal to the amplifiers.
- (9) Bluetooth antenna: Available only for the Connect Line model.

Bluetooth Interface
Using a didactic and intuitive interface, users can configure Expert Electronics processors via smartphone or tablet, allowing for easy system alignment in real-time.
The app can be downloaded free from Google Play or Apple Store.

Pairing
- Download the application on Google Play Store or Apple Store.
- Activate the device location.
- Activate the Bluetooth connection.
- Open the device.
- The device automatically recognizes the processor.
- Select the processor.
- Enter the password.
- Factory password: 0000.
- To change the factory password, type in the new password and click OK.
- To change the factory settings again, the processor must be reset.
ATTENTION: Google Play Store or Apple Store application available only for CONNECT line models.

Warranty is valid for 12 months (one year) from the date of purchase, provided the product was purchased from an authorized Expert Electronics dealer. Coverage includes components and/or parts proven to have manufacturing failures or damaged components.
Warranty Exclusions:
- Equipment, parts, or components previously altered by unauthorized persons.
- Damages caused by accidents (e.g., falls, crashes) or natural disasters (e.g., floods, fires).
- Improper installation (e.g., incorrect wiring, abuse, installation not per specifications).
- Shipping costs.
