Installation
Instructions for connecting the PX8.2 and PX8.2HI models.
PX8.2 Installation:
- Minimum wire gauge: 1mm²
- REM IN must be connected to the player's remote output.
- REM OUT must be connected to amplifiers.
- Input voltage from 10 to 15Vdc.
- Working current: 0.35A.
Connections:
Amplifiers: Connect to the output channels.
Player: Connect to the input terminals (LINE IN L/R, HI INPUT).
Power: Connect Battery positive pole (10-15v) to +12V terminal, Battery negative pole or vehicle body to GND terminal.
Remote: Connect Player's remote output to REM IN terminal. Connect REM OUT terminal to amplifier's remote input.
PX8.2HI Installation:
- Minimum wire gauge: 1mm²
- REM IN must be connected to the player's remote output.
- REM OUT must be connected to amplifiers.
- Input voltage from 10 to 15Vdc.
- Working current: 0.35A.
Connections:

Description of Elements
The device features the following elements:
- (1) Rotary Encoder: Responsible for selecting and changing parameters.
- (2) Power Connector: Requires 12Vdc and a minimum current of 300mA. REM IN needs to be connected to the player's remote, and REM OUT is sent to the amplifiers.
- (3) Link Output: Used to couple several systems; connected to the input of the processor you want to couple.
- (4) ESC Button: Used to return to the previous parameter or menu.
- (5) Signal Inputs: Must be connected to the player or table output.
- (6) Channel Select Keys: Used to select the channel to be configured. Can be used within any menu; on the initial screen, they change the channel.
- (7) Limiter Actuation Indicator Lights: Lights up when the limiter is active.
- (8) Device Display and Configuration: Shows current settings and allows configuration.
Menu and Settings
5.1. Accessing the Menu
Rotate the rotary encoder to navigate through the configuration menu. To access a function, press the encoder.
5.2. Main Gain
Adjusts the overall processor gain.
Steps:
- Navigate to MAIN => GAIN.
- Rotate the encoder to set the desired gain (e.g., -01dB).
- Press the encoder to confirm.
- Press ESC to return to the menu.
5.3. Routing Channel Output
Routes signals between inputs and outputs. 'L' output receives only the signal from input L, 'R' output receives only the signal from input R, and 'L+R' output receives the summed signal from inputs L and R.
Steps:
- Press the button corresponding to the channel you want to configure (e.g., CH1).
- Rotate the encoder to select the routing mode (e.g., L+R, R, L).
- Press the encoder to confirm the setting.
- Press ESC to return to the menu.
5.4. Gain
Allows you to change the gain independently for each output.
Steps:
- Press the button corresponding to the channel you want to configure (e.g., CH4).
- Rotate the encoder to set the desired gain (e.g., 09dB).
- Press the encoder to confirm.
- Press ESC to return to the menu.
5.5. Crossover
Allows elimination of unwanted frequencies with Butterworth, Linkwitz-Riley, and Bessel type filters, with attenuations from 6 to 48dB/8°.
Steps for HPF (High-Pass Filter):
- Press the button corresponding to the channel you want to configure (e.g., CH3).
- Rotate the encoder to set the desired HPF frequency (e.g., 00062HZ) and press.
- Rotate the encoder to set the desired attenuation (e.g., 12DB/8BT or 24DB/8BT) and press.
- Press ESC to return to the menu.
Steps for LPF (Low-Pass Filter):
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 for LPF adjustment (e.g., 00180HZ).
- Rotate the encoder to set the desired LPF attenuation (e.g., 24DB/8BT) and press.
- Press ESC to return to the menu.
5.6. Polarity/Phase
Allows adjustment of output polarity.
Steps:
- Press the button corresponding to the channel you want to configure (e.g., CH6).
- Rotate the encoder to change polarity (0° or 180°).
- Press the encoder to confirm.
- Press ESC to return to the menu.
5.7. Delay
Allows you to delay the track signal for better coupling.
Steps:
- Press the button corresponding to the channel you want to configure (e.g., CH5).
- Rotate the encoder to set the desired delay (e.g., 005SMP) and distance (e.g., 0035MM).
- Press the encoder to confirm.
- Press ESC to return to the menu.
5.8. EQ Channel
Channel equalizer allows gain or attenuation of 3 independent frequencies per channel between 20Hz and 20KHz, with frequency, gain, and Q factor adjustment.
Steps:
- Press the button corresponding to the channel you want to configure (e.g., CH401).
- Rotate the encoder to set the desired frequency (e.g., F:00125HZ, F:00330HZ) and press.
- Rotate the encoder to set the desired gain or attenuation (e.g., G: 00DB, G:+03DB) and press.
- Rotate the encoder to set the desired Q factor (e.g., Q:2.0, Q:3.3) and press the encoder to configure other bands.
- Press ESC to return to the menu.
5.9. EQ In
Input equalizer allows gain or attenuation of frequencies between 20Hz and 20KHz with 15 bands spaced 1/3 of an octave apart.
Steps:
- Press the encoder to select the desired frequency (e.g., FREQ: 00031 HZ, FREQ: 00080 HZ).
- Rotate the encoder to set the desired gain or attenuation (e.g., G: 00DB).
- Press the encoder to confirm.
- Repeat steps 1-3 to configure other frequencies.
- Press ESC to return to the menu.
5.10. Limiter
Sets a limit so that the audio signal does not exceed the set value.
Steps:
- Press the button corresponding to the channel you want to configure (e.g., CH2).
- Rotate the encoder to set the desired Threshold (T) (e.g., 06 dB, -10 dB) and press.
- Turn the encoder to set the desired Attack (A) (e.g., 050ms, 005ms) and press.
- Rotate the encoder to set the desired Decay (D) (e.g., 870ms, 080ms), and press ESC to return to the menu.
5.11. Cross/Eq/Lim/All Custom
Processor Presets save all device settings. Choose a Preset and configure the device; settings are automatically saved.
Steps:
- Select a custom preset (CUSTOM 1, CUSTOM 2, CUSTOM 3) by pressing or turning the encoder.
- To load or configure all settings, select CROSS/EQ/LIM/ALL CUSTOM.
- Press ESC to return to the menu.
Attention: Presets save all device settings. Using another preset may require reconfiguring frequency cuts, equalization, gains, etc.
5.12. Password
Set a password to protect settings.
Steps:
- Rotate the encoder, set the first digit (e.g., KEY:0000) and press.
- Repeat step 1 for all digits.
- If you forget your password, you will need to reset the processor.
5.13. Mute
To mute a channel, press the desired channel button when the processor is on the home screen.
Steps:
- Press the channel button you want to mute (e.g., CH1). The display will show "CH1: OFF".
- Press the button again to unmute the channel.
- Press ESC to return to the home menu.
5.14. Reset
To reset the processor to factory parameters, press and hold the ESC key on the initial screen until the processor restarts.
Attention: Resetting returns all parameters to factory defaults. Perform the reset with all audio outputs disconnected.
Bluetooth Interface
Configure Expert Electronics processors via Smartphone or Tablet for system alignment in real time.
App Availability: Downloadable from Google Play Store or Apple Store.
Compatibility: Only for Connect line processors. A demo mode is available for other users.

Pairing
App Control: iOS and Android compatible.
Steps:
- Download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple Store.
- Activate Bluetooth connection on your device.
- Activate device location.
- Open the app.
- The application automatically recognizes the processor.
- Select the processor (PX 8.2).
- Enter the password. The factory password is: 0000.
- To change the factory password, enter the new password and click OK.
- To change the password again, it is necessary to reset the processor.

Warranty Terms
Warranty valid for 12 months (one year) from the date of purchase, if bought from an authorized Expert Electronics dealer. Covered by warranty for components and/or parts proven to have manufacturing defects or damage.
Warranty does not cover:
- Equipment, parts, or components previously altered by unauthorized persons.
- Damages caused by accidents (fall, crash, etc.) or natural disasters (flood, fire, etc.).
- Improper installation (improper wiring, abuse, installation not per specifications).
- Shipping costs.
