Televes 8-bay BOSS MIX Antenna HighVHF/UHF (Repack Ready)
Product Description
The Televes 8-bay BOSS MIX antenna is engineered for receiving mixed HighVHF/UHF signals. It features a double panel structure, with each panel equipped with 12-element flat reflectors and 4 stacked dipoles (totaling 8 dipoles). The dipole separation is optimized to enhance reception quality.
Both panels are connected to a mast amplifier incorporating the BOSSTech system. This system combines and amplifies signals from both panels, resulting in a high-gain antenna. One of the panels offers rotation capability, making it a versatile solution for scenarios with signals originating from different broadcast locations.
A low-consumption, UL-listed power supply is included, providing two outputs for convenient distribution to additional TV sets. The antenna is supplied in individual packaging.
Key Features:
- Designed for reception of TV signals on RF channels 7-36 (Repack Ready).
- Crystal clear TV reception powered by a BOSSTech preamplifier that automatically adjusts gain independently for VHF and UHF signals, ensuring optimum performance.
- Signals from different stations are combined onto a single output coaxial cable.
- Exceptional bandwidth achieved through its stacked-dipole structure and single-panel rotation.
- Manufactured from aluminum for a long service life.
- The BOSSTech preamplifier is housed in a robust black ABS plastic box for weather resistance.
- Includes a plastic tie for preamp mast mounting.
TForce Technology
Televes introduces TForce technology, transitioning from traditional silicon to advanced MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) components precisely manufactured for microwave frequency bands. Utilizing state-of-the-art MMIC technology, TForce is built with semiconductor compounds like gallium arsenide (GaAs), delivering unparalleled features and performance.
Televes has redefined the antenna concept. Previously, antennas were solely reception components focused on gain and directivity. The introduction of a smart device like BOSS empowers the antenna to receive very weak signals without being compromised by strong signals. This creates a dynamic balance between weak and strong signals, ensuring optimal signal levels at all times. The concept of "dynamic range" is a key quality parameter.
The creation of TForce with BOSS technology using MMIC components represents a significant advancement in optimizing dynamic range. This technology enables the reception of signals previously lost from distant satellites and enhances the coverage range in DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television) installations.

Application Example
The diagram illustrates a typical setup for the Televes 8-bay BOSS MIX antenna. It shows the antenna connected to a power supply unit (PSU, Ref. 550104, included) which is powered by a 120V source. The PSU provides a 12V output to the antenna's amplifier. The antenna system is then connected to two television sets, enabling signal distribution.
