Televes Mast Amplifier Kit with BOSS-Tech and Level Regulation
Reference: 560483
Product Description
This active mast-mounted device filters and amplifies terrestrial television signals from up to two antennas. It optimizes rejection of the LTE band up to channel 36 (Repack Ready) and features two inputs with amplification for the LowVHF, HighVHF, and UHF bands. The amplifier is powered via the output coaxial cable.
The kit includes a 12V (220mA) power supply for the home, which is inserted into the installation. It provides the necessary power to the amplifier and sends power through the input coaxial cable, allowing TV signal passage. The power supply also incorporates a splitter for two outputs and has UL certification (US plug).
These devices allow the installer to adjust the output level according to the distribution network's requirements.
Key Features
- Enables 'cord-cutting' for local or national TV channels (e.g., abc HD, CSO HD, FOX HD, PBS HD, the CW, Univision HD).
- Provides significant filtering to prevent out-of-band interference, including FM band and Repack frequencies (from 608MHz onwards).
- Incorporates BOSS-Tech devices: the amplifier automatically and dynamically adapts its gain to signal conditions, ensuring optimal output signal level and preventing overload during interference or good reception.
- Features dual-band amplification: VHF and UHF gains are independently adjusted based on each band's needs, preventing intermodulation interference.
- Very low noise figure.
- High-shielding Zamak chassis.
- F connectors.
- ON/OFF switch for DC power pass to the input, enabling BOSS system power.
- Manual level regulation margin for each input (0-20dB).
- Easy mounting with included mast bracket.
- Black ABS resistant plastic casing for outdoor installation.
Application Notes
Reception from two or more transmission stations using two independent antennas:
- The amplifier provides per-input gain adjustment to balance received signals from two antennas when necessary.
- Once the desired balance is established, the amplifier automatically adjusts its gain for each band independently over time to ensure optimal signal delivery. No further configurations or adjustments are needed.

Diagram
The diagram illustrates a typical installation setup. Two independent antennas (labeled "Ellipse MIX" for UHF/VHF) are connected to a mast-mounted amplifier. The amplifier is powered by a 12V connection originating from a Power Supply Unit (PSU) located inside a house. The PSU also provides the output signal to a television (TV). The 12V power is transmitted from the PSU to the amplifier via the coaxial cable.
