ALUMINUM: Most aluminum alloys used today contain some level of lead, usually less than 0.1%. Lead is known to the State of California to cause cancer and reproductive harm. Most aluminum alloys are physiologically inert in their solid form, and the lead is contained within. However, user-generated dust and/or fumes may pose a hazard if inhaled or ingested. Heating beyond a certain temperature may also provide avenues for exposure.

STEEL BOLTS: Steel is an iron alloy with several metals including Nickel and Chromium. Both Nickel and Chromium are known to the State of California to cause cancer and reproductive harm. This warning applies to stainless steels as well.

Assembly Steps

Step 1: Rear Bracket Installation

This step illustrates the installation of the rear bracket onto the engine block. The bracket is positioned near the cylinder head. A single M10 x 25MM bolt is indicated for securing this bracket.

Step 2: Front Bracket and Spacers

This step shows the front bracket being prepared for mounting. It is positioned relative to the engine. Three blue spacers, each 3.65 inches long, and two green M10 x 130MM bolts are shown, indicating their use in attaching the front bracket to the engine.

Step 3: Compressor Mounting

This step details the mounting of the GM R4 A/C Compressor. The compressor is shown in position to be attached using three green M10 x 130MM bolts, three 0.59" spacers, and three M10 nuts.

Step 4: Pulley and Tensioner Assembly

This step illustrates the assembly of the pulley and tensioner system. It includes a ribbed pulley, a 0.475" step spacer, and the tensioner mechanism. The tensioner is secured using a green M10 x 160MM bolt, a M10 x 50MM thick washer, and an M10 nut.
