How It Works
- Optimal Placement: Place the solar panel in an area with maximum direct sunlight. Adjust the panel's angle towards the sun for optimal energy capture. Aim for an angle between 30-60 degrees. Avoid shaded areas caused by buildings or trees. If mounting on a flat surface, ensure it is dry and regular to prevent distortion from prolonged sunlight exposure. The most efficient charging hours are typically between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with peak efficiency around midday (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM).
- Sunlight Conditions: ☀️ (Bright Sun), ?️ (Partly Cloudy), ?️ (Rainy/Overcast). Use the panel under direct sunlight for best results.
- Angle Adjustment: ? (Optimal Angle) - Adjust the panel to face the sun directly.
- Connecting Devices: Connect the solar panel to your portable power station or laptop. Ensure the panel is exposed to sunlight during charging. It is recommended to cover the panel with cloth when plugging in a device to protect it from elements.
- Connection Diagram: A laptop is shown connected to a solar panel, illustrating the charging process.
- Chaining Multiple Solar Modules: This panel is designed for charging 12V/24V lead-acid batteries, including lithium batteries and other equipment. It is recommended to use a solar regulator to prevent overcharging. Additional solar panels can be connected using MC4 Y-connectors. Voltages add in series connections, while currents add in parallel connections. Ensure panels in the same string have similar electrical output to avoid performance mismatches.
- Series Connection: Connect panels end-to-end (positive to negative) to increase voltage.
- Parallel Connection: Connect panels side-by-side (positive to positive, negative to negative) to increase current.
- MC4 Connectors: These are used for connecting panels. They consist of male (+) and female (-) connectors. Keep connectors dry, clean, and hand-tight. Do not connect with wet, soiled, or damaged connectors.
- Connection Warning: Connecting panels in series increases voltage; connecting in parallel increases current. Be cautious, as connecting three panels in series might exceed a safe voltage of 50V.
Important Tips & Maintenance
- Connector Care: To preserve service life, avoid sunlight exposure and water immersion of connectors. Do not let connectors rest on the ground or roof surfaces. Faulty connections can cause electrical shock; check all connections every 6 months and ensure locking connectors are secure.
- PCB Modification: Do not attempt to modify the PCB circuit inside the junction box unless you are a professional technician.
- Water Resistance: The solar panel has an IP66 waterproof rating, making it rainproof and suitable for short-term water immersion. However, prolonged immersion is prohibited. If short-circuited due to water immersion, stop use and contact the seller.
- Physical Handling: Do not step on, stand on, or jump on the solar panel surface. Avoid contact with heavy or sharp objects that could scratch the panel, cause cracks, or damage the output.
- Broken Panel: If the panel is broken, discontinue use and contact the manufacturer's after-sales service or a professional technician for repair.
- Temperature: It is normal for solar panels to get hot during operation. Allow them to cool down before storing.
- Cleaning: Dirt and dust accumulation can reduce power output. Periodically clean the panel with a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent.
Disposal Guide
Dispose of the product in a designated recycling bin according to local laws and regulations.
